I’ll be the first to admit that I’m quite a difficult person to buy for, but lets be honest men in general can be quite tricky. So what exactly do you get the well groomed man, the one that likes to look after himself but seems to have everything? Well, I say stay away from Boots and opt for something a little more unusual.

Now you can do this without breaking the bank, but first if you’re looking for something a little more high end:

1.  Murdock London have a whole range of wonderful quirky things for the modern ‘gent’ from shaving creams to mustache wax, hair pomade to perfume they have it all. All of their products feature a modern twist on the old age classics you might find in a barber shop and if it’s barber shops he likes then you can even buy gift vouchers for his very own treatment!

2.  Czech and Speake items tend to carry a higher price point but they look so amazing it’s almost worth it! Sure, they make taps and bath accessories but the real magic lies within their fragrances and bath oils perfect for the modern man that likes a pamper their Dark Rose fragrance is particularly sexy.

3. D.R. Harris is actually one of London’s oldest pharmacies and have been making Men’s cologne and grooming products for years. It truly is a shaving treasure trove for traditional shaving lovers with everything from brushes to razors all with an old world charm that any fan of apothecary would love. The Almond Shaving cream is particularly lovely and also very Christmasy.   4. Geo F Trumper is a similar affair to D.R Harris stocking various shaving creams and old fashioned colognes, however their fragrance gift sets are both simple yet stunning and their leather manicure sets would make any modern gent overjoyed to receive under the tree. gift-guide-what-the-well-groomed-man-really-wants-2 I’ll also admit that I am a huge fan of saving money along with supporting small companies and buying handmade, Christmas is a great way to get the well groomed man into a brand he might have never heard before whilst support a small business and not breaking the bank. Perfect!

1.  Sam’s Naturals (etsy) have items aimed at the ‘working’ man rather than someone tied to an office desk but that doesn’t mean the products aren’t great for any man to try. They have some really great festive gift sets and I’ve been dying to try their candles for so long, fingers crossed for one of those under my tree!

2.  Prospector Co have products named after historic figures and contain no artificial colours or fragrances, viewing their products as food for the face and body. They have everything from beard oil to ‘Wormwood Absinthe Cream’ and their packaging is absolutely stunning! Look at those gift boxes!

3. Wild Man (etsy) is a branch of Wild Rose Herbs brand, founded in 2011 by a herbal alchemist products are blended with the best ingredients and use therapeutical essential oils to help the mood as well as the skin. The beard conditioner is a best seller on Etsy, but their cologne is equally as lovely and for the price you really can’t go wrong even as just a stocking filler. 4. Portland General Store (etsy) is an absolute favourite of mine if I’m honest, they combine everything I love from vintage inspired packaging to natural ingredients to products that smell like whisky and tobacco it truly is a complete treat to receive any of their items. Having tried a handful myself I can really guarantee you can’t go wrong, if you’re unsure get one of their Cigar Box sample sets he’s bound to find something he will love.
