My Top 5 Must Have Blushes – Glam Radar

by GlamRadar · October 4, 2015

Oh blush, what would we do without you? You sculpt, add warmth and give us that faux healthy glow. It’s possibly one of my favourite beauty products to buy. I’m always drawn to corals and peachy pink hues – the most flattering on my skin tone. And oh boy do I like to go to town with it, most may like a natural flush, but I like mine to be seen, not too over the top, of course.benefit-coralista-givenchy-le-prisme-blush-in-vogue-orange-laura-mercier-second-skin-cheek-colour-peach-whisper-kevyn-aucoin-pure-powder-glow-apricot-ysl-cream-blush-peach Because of my love for these little miracle workers, I thought I would round up my top 5. Lets start with Coralista, my first high-end blush purchase. A pale peachy coral with added highlight is a flattering one for all skin tones. Plus, it smells incredible and the packaging is pretty nifty with a built in mirror. I don’t wear this one as much, but it just had to make the cut because it’s a classic. Next up is my absolute favourite. YSL Cream Blush in #1 – it’s creamy, mousse texture blends effortlessly onto the skin, nor does it look dewy or powdery. Just a natural finish. It lasts all day and the colour is the most perfect peachy pink I have come across. One of the pricier ones, but well worth it. Now I’m going to go onto one that I use for my natural makeup days. The Givenchy Prism Blush in Orange. Giving my blush a swirl around these four tones made up of two bronze, and two corals results in adding warmth along with a flush of colour. Along with that it sculpts and adds definition. Which is simply why I adore it whilst wearing less makeup. It does 3 jobs in one without overloading your face in product. Oh Laura Mercier. What beautiful blushes you make. This one is called Peach Whisper, it was a hard choice between this and Lush Nectarine which is very similar to Coralista. Now, peach whisper is a pale peach with a matte finish. It leaves more of a powder finish than the others but still equally as beautiful. Last but not least, the brightest out of the bunch. Kevyn Aucoin Cheek Glow in Apricot. More on the neon, peachy pink side. One that I like to bring out on my tanned days. Very finely milled which results in a natural, undetectable finish, whilst at the same time, you can still tell you’re wearing blusher. Make sense?
