My Favorite Lip Treatments – Glam Radar

Today I wanted to a post completely centered around lips! I want to share with you some of my favorite lip products including treatments, glosses, lipsticks, etc. Everything that I am showing you is readily attainable, no limited edition products, etc. So if you are interested, you can grab these too!   I’ll start off with treatments! This wouldn’t be a post about lips if I didn’t include the LUSH Sweet Lips Lip Scrub. This is an amazing product that I will continue to repurchase probably forever. Basically, the dead skin cells that form on your lips can be annoying, and effect the application and wear of your lipsticks/glosses/stains. To remove the dead skin, I just wet my lips a little with a wash cloth, rub this sugar scrub all over, until my lips feel smooth and all the dead skin is off, and then wet my lips again to remove all the skin and left over scrub. You can purchase this in several different flavors directly from LUSH, and the best part is it’s only about $7.00!     Another one of my favorite lip treatments are the Korres Lip Butter Products. This particular one is the Lip Butter Glaze in Jasmine. These are great as an anytime moisturizer for your lips. I always follow up my sugar scrub routine with this product. It is just incredibly moisturizing, and I feel like it works so well after exfoliating.     My next favorite lip treatments double as something you can totally consider more of a gloss. These are a new product from Maybelline, and I’m sure you’ve heard of them! They are the famous Baby Lips Lip Balms. These are incredibly moisturizing with an added bonus of a little tint and shine. Although the color payoff isn’t excellent, you do get enough to give your lips a healthy glow. My favorite is in the middle of these three and it’s the Peach Satin lip balm. This gives a gorgeous nude glow. These are all under $3 (in my drugstore, I’ve seen them anywhere from $2.50-$4).     Along the same lines as the Maybelline Baby Lips are the Revlon Lip Butters, and these are another one of my coveted lip products. I have three colors (shown above, left to right) in Candy Apple, Creme Brulee and Peach Parfait. I absolutely love these because they have an amazing color payoff as well as the moisturizing quality of a lip balm. I sometimes can be a total mouth breather (ha!) and my lipstick can dry out on my lips quicker, so I love that these are more moisturizing than a regular lipstick.    I almost always wear a lip gloss, even if I am only wearing lip balm or if I’m topping it over a lipstick. Some of my favorite lip glosses are the Too Faced Mirror Mirror Glosses, which are the most opaque and non-sticky formula. I went through my MAC Glosses and picked out my two favorites which have always been Nymphette and Moth to Flame!     My favorite high end lipsticks were hard to decide. I wanted to keep it at like 3-4 just to make this not overwhelming. The ones I cut it down to are (from left to right), Chanel’s Ruban Rose, MAC Brick-o-la, and MAC High Tea. I love lipstick, but I tend to only wear it when I am doing something important or special that day. I don’t typically wear it when I used to go to class every day, or just to go see a friend or something. Like I said I have more dry lips, so sometimes lipstick can just feel like a pain.    My favorite drugstore lipsticks of the moment would have to be the NYX Lipsticks. These are absolutely amazing for the price. They are extremely, EXTREMELY pigmented, and have excellent lasting power. They also come in such a huge variety of fun colors. I definitely prefer the formula of NYX lipsticks to any other kind that I own.
