Runway-Inspired Fall Outfits as Worn by Celebrities – Glam Radar

As I’ve mentioned in my article “Fall Fashion Trends – Straight from the Runways,” this season’s fashion is dominated by four styles, namely City Drifter, Geek Chic, Danger Girl, and Quirky and Artsy. And since they’re the main foci of most designers, it comes as no surprise that most celebrities have adopted these styles as well. Get inspired by your favorite people by following these runway-inspired fall outfits as worn by celebrities.

City Drifter

City drifter fall outfits are defined by a ‘devil may care’ fashion attitude. This style is all about quiet luxury and neutral colors – and the use of well-tailored outfits made from plush, luxurious fabrics.

Following the trail of the City Drifter is Coco Rocha. The Canadian model, spotted in the Carolina Herrera runway show, is more than chic in her sleek black dress, which is covered with an alligator skin and fur coat.

Geek Chic

Geek Chic fall outfits need not much of an introduction. Taking it by face value, the geek chic look is all about looking smart and trendy all at the same time. This year’s geeky fall outfits are all about berets, oxfords, and hippie pieces.

Perhaps the best inspiration for these fall outfits is Zooey Deschanel’s character in the sitcom “The New Girl.” The defining piece is her glasses, of course, but her ability to make sweaters and mini skirts look fashionable is one of the many reasons why she’s the poster girl for chic nerdy fashion.

Danger Girl

Inspired by the box-office hit “Gone Girl,” Danger girl fall outfits are all about dark, sleek, and sophisticated pieces. While leather is the focal piece for this fall style, the Danger girl outfit often comes with striking accessories and details.

The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best models of the Danger Girl fall outfits. Her black crop top and pencil skirt might be simple, but her use of sexy gladiator heels adds a dose of spunk to her sexy and dark outfit.

Quirky and Artsy

Quirky and artsy fall outfits are the conglomerate of many fashion influences, ranging from boheme to hippie chic. The inspiration behind the shows of Bottega Venetta and Marc Jacobs, the quirky and artsy style is hallmarked by bright pieces, unique footwear, and attention-grabbing statement jewelry.

Olivia Palermo is perhaps one of the best examples of the “Quirky and Artsy” icon, with her vigorous use of colorful pieces – including her mustard coat and multi-colored chain bag.
