I was sent some products from Reviva Labs to try out and share my thoughts by doing a review here on my blog, I was sent 5 different products in total, and have been trying each of these products out over the last couple of weeks. I thought it would be easier to do separate reviews on each of these products, so today I’m starting by reviewing a product from Reviva Labs – The New Expectant Mama Skin Care Line.

I think Reviva Labs have 5 products in total in this line, which are Stretchmarks Prevention Lotion, Varicose Veins Lotion, All Natural Anti-Itch Belly Butter, Facial ‘Pregnancy Mask’ Cream and Back & Leg Pain Relief Gel.

I was sent two of these products to try out, All Natural Anti-Itch Belly Butter and Back & Leg Pain Relief Gel, today I am going to review the Expectant Mama Back & Leg Pain Relief Gel.

Expectant Mama Back & Leg Pain Relief Gel

What Reviva Labs say about this
‘ There are a number of analgestic creams, ointments and sprays, which claim to relieve pain. But over the years, two ingredients – menthol and eucalyptus – have proven highly effective in relieving joint and tissue pain without side effects. Natural menthol as well as eucalyptus, block pain receptors and supported by anti-inflammatory aloe vera, are featured in the new “Expectant Mama Back & Leg Pain Relief Gel” ‘

Directions
Massage in briskly on aching muscles. Can be used twice daily.

Ingredients
Purified water, isopropyl alcohol, menthol, aloe vera gel, glycerin (veg), eucalyptus oil, cetyl alcohol, carbomer 940, jojoba oil, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate and citric acid (preservatives) Paraben Free.

My thoughts on this product . . .

I received this product a couple of weeks ago, at the time I received this product I didn’t have any back or leg pain I think it was because I was only in early pregnancy at the time. I didn’t want to try this product out until I actually had pain to see would it work, and how well would it work. I am now in my third trimester of pregnancy and from maybe the middle of my second trimester of pregnancy I started to experience more back pain rather than leg pain, so it was time to test out this product.

This product reminds me of products like Biofreeze and Deep Heat, although I’m not sure if you can use them certain products in pregnancy. I love the smell of the menthol and eucalyptos in this product although my boyfriend hates it, so I suppose it’s not a scent for everyone.

This product is a gel formula, when I first applied it, it felt very cold and as it sinks into your skin it becomes even colder which I think feels soothing. I like how this gel sinks into your skin pretty quick and your not left with any sticky or wet residue after you have applied it. After a couple of minutes every time I used this product I did find that it worked, it eased the pain, and eventually after a couple of minutes it felt like the pain had gone away.

I was curious about this product and wanted somebody who was not pregnant but suffered from back pain to try out this product and see how it would work for them. My mam has arthritis in her back and because of this she suffers from a lot of back pain, so I got her to test out this product too with me. She loved it from the first time she tried it, and after she tried it out she kept asking me whenever she had a pain in her back could she use some, she found it very soothing and it took some of the pain in her back away for her too, she also liked the cooling sensation you get from this product once you have applied it.

Overall I think that this is a good product for anybody who suffers from pains not only just pregnant women. I think it’s also very affordable considering you get 4oz of this product for $14.00. A little of this product goes a very long way so I think it is worth the money, thumps up from me!

I hope y’all enjoyed this review, I will have more reviews on Reviva Labs coming soon so be sure to keep a check on my blog if y’all are interested!
