Throwing makeup away is always a hard job especially when you love it but sometimes a product has simply just HAD it and is better off in the bin.

It may be that it’s leaked, the dispenser has dropped off or the applicator has actually eroded away like unidentifiable product above.

This concealer is one of my all time favourite products. It’s been so loved and lasted so long that it is now a classified UMO!

No labels, no writing, nameless.

Today I binned it and opened up my back-up.

UMO was Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, Stay-in-Place concealer, my very first EL purchase and the product that started my obsession with the brand.

Often percieved as an ‘old lady’ cosmetics line EL has some of the best products I’ve ever tried, they rarely disappoint. The Double Wear line in particular has some fab eyeliners, paint pots, foundations and of course this concealer.

As much as I love the texture of creamy concealers (Bobbi Brown in particular) they just don’t last all day on my skin. This liquid concealer does NOT budge, once blended it stays-in-place.

The coverage is good, disguising most blemishes or discoloration on the skin effortlessly but it ‘s not the heaviest EL do. For undereye circles in particular or severe redness I love Maximum Cover ( sold as a foundation but it’s so strong, as it is a camouflage cream a tiny amount is needed to conceal).

Double Wear is non cakey, you only need the smallest amount hence my tube lasted 23 months, a month shy of it’s sell by date and is suitable all over the face even under the eyes.

If you want to know how I best apply it then watch my foundation routine video in which it is featured.
