Carmex Lip Balm Tube Review – Glam Radar

It doesn’t seem to matter what time of year it is, my lips tend to hate me. They are sometimes sore and always dry and flaky. I decide to add another lip balm to my sizeable collection in the shape of this: Here is my review of Carmex Lip Balm Tube ! carmex-lip-balm-tube According to the Boots website: ‘This cult classic balm contains ingredients such as menthol, camphor and beeswax leave a tingling sensation to soothe and smooth lips that need a bit of tlc.’ The Carmex website is quite informative, and unlike many other cosmetics websites tells you what the ingredients do: Menthol kills germs and relieves discomfort Phenol gently numbs your sore lips and removes old, dead skin Personally I found the menthol and camphor pretty overwhelming scent-wise, this definitely smells medicated and I’m not certain that I’m keen on the tingling effect either. carmex-lip-balm-tube-2 Application is super easy, no sticking fingers in pots therefore no mess, plus it’s pretty small so will easily fit in a purse or pocket without being obtrusive. Overall I think this is pretty ok, the scent (for me) is off putting as it’s pretty medicinal, but I really cannot criticise its performance, my sore lips were soothed and appeared less flaky after a day or so. I don’t think that this will be an everyday lip balm for me, but I will reach for it as a lip treatment when I’m ill… I may try the Strawberry flavoured version next! Carmex Lip Balm Tube costs £2.96 from Boots
