Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner review – Glam Radar

I stopped using toners in my early teens, after some nasty (burning!) anti-acne treatments gone wrong. I always remembered toners as being harsh, burning liquids that caused my skin to get very tight. I was a little hesitant to try this, as a result. The first positive thing I noticed about this is that it is alcohol free. It has fully intact flower petals floating in it (which you can see!), which I liked, again because of my affinity to natural ingredients. It has a pleasant odour, slightly strong and earthy, sort of like herbal tea.

I noticed a difference when I used this over an area on my forehead which I had started to break out in, which noticeably improved it. No burning at all occurs, and it is quite easy to smooth over with a cotton pad. After drying instantly, I follow with moisturiser.

I probably won’t need to purchase this  Kiehl’s Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner again, as my skin is usually dry, but if I ever start breaking out and getting oilier, this will be at the top of my shopping list.
