Burts Bees Honeysuckle Tinted Lip Balm Review – Glam Radar

Hello pretties here is my Burts Bees Honeysuckle Tinted Lip Balm Review!

Do you know what annoys me? Sydney weather. Sunny one day, cold and horrible the next. To combat the whims of the weather god while still staying stylish, I had to source a coloured lip balm that would actually work – shocking, I know.

Enter Burts Bees Honeysuckle Tinted Lip Balm.

Thankyou, lord. Thankyou.

What’s in Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balms, I hear you ask? Shea Butter, mainly. Burts Bees claim that “This natural fat obtained from the fruit of the karite tree is a valuable, nourishing addition to moisturizers for the reduction of wrinkles and to improve the elasticity of the skin and protect it against environmental ageing.”

In addition to that, it has a variety of other oils like coconut, olive oil, sunflower oil and lanolin.

I didn’t realise I would love it so much, which is why I don’t have a fresh pic of the lip balm to show you but I guess in a roundabout way, that’s a good thing.

The lip balm itself is smooth but still slightly waxy which I like. It’s the lightest in the Burts Bees tinted lip balm range, but it looks weirdly dusty-rosey in the tube.

When it’s on though, it’s quite a neutral nude shade with some unexpected almost coral-rose-pink-salmon running through it.

Needless to say, I’ve been wearing this all the time.

I was sick during my last two weeks at work, and wearing minimal makeup every day. I knew the state of my skin would suffer, but Honeysuckle was such a lifesaver for my lips. It was moisturising, but also gave me some colour.

When you’re sick, sometimes that’s all you need.

Cost?
Australia: $14.95

Full Disclosure: I bought this myself at David Jones, one cold and dreary afternoon and here I am writing about it in sweltering heat. Annoying!
