NEAL’S YARD BEAUTY SLEEP CONCENTRATE REVIEW – Glam Radar

by Maria · May 22, 2014

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you’re having a lovely start to the weekend 🙂 Today I’m reviewing another Neal’s Yard product. Here is my review of NEAL’S YARD BEAUTY SLEEP CONCENTRATE !

I think I’m a bit of a convert lol. Neal’s Yard are BUAV approved and sent me their brand spanking new Beauty Sleep Concentrate to try out and review. It’s already received a Beauty award from She Magazine and has received good reviews from the Daily Mail and handbag.com so I’m interested to see how well it works…

The spiel that comes with this product is that it increases the skin’s moisture levels by up 98% over a period of 12 hours. Now I don’t get 12 hours sleep every night, in fact I’m lucky if I get the recommended 8 so I probably only manage to gain increased moisture levels of around 70%, which isn’t bad! The first time I used this I stupidly didn’t read the instructions and pumped the bottle about 6 times (instead of the recommended 3-4) before realising that actually I’d put a little too much on my face. Oh dear, that was rather wasteful! Anyway, I’ve been using this every night for about a month now on top of my serum, as instructed, to ensure my skin remains moisturised and hydrated throughout the night. The key ingredient in this concentrate is Narcissus Tazetta Bulb, which according to Neal’s Yard has naturally regenerative properties, which is generally a good thing for a night product to have because our skin heals and repairs itself as our body’s rest. So anything that helps such a process along can only mean good things when we wake up in the mornings The recommended 3-4 pumps do go a long way and I like to massage it in slowly with draining movements in outwards and upwards directions towards lymph nodes, as this stimulates the removal of waste, which in turn will encourage the whole idea that when I wake up the following morning my skin will look a lot brighter and refreshed. And it most certainly does have a natural glow to it, it’s definitely improved how my skin looks after sleeping, and regardless of whether or not I’ve had my full 8 hours, my skin certainly looks like it’s had 8 hours to focus on repairing itself! Is it worth the £30 price tag though? Well, it’s been a month, and if you look closely at the picture, you’ll see for yourself how little has actually been used, so baring that in mind this 30ml bottle should last around 4 months, which works out at less than £7.50 per month, and about 25p per day. That’s a bargain in my book! Don’t forget to follow me on twitter and bloglovin’ for all the latest in cruelty free beauty
