Bdellium Tools 769 Angled Contour Brush Review | Glam Radar

Hey Guys, i hope you’re all having a nice weekend? Today I’m sharing with you all a brush with a difference. As some of you know i try to be as careful as possible when choosing products as i would rather them cruelty free. I’m not some crazy animal activist at all i promise, but i do believe in choice.

I was sent this brush for consideration by a company called CutECOcosmetics emphasis on ECO because that is what they brand themselves proudly as. An Eco-friendly, cruelty free, and organic cosmetic store! You can visit them here. After doing a bit of window shopping i did learn a lot from their site, there were brands on their i hadn’t seen on the non-cruelty lists i usually read which made me pleased, there were also brands i had never heard of before that i will be trying in the near future.

Anyway on to the brush…

So as you can gather from the above Bdellium Tools is an eco-friendly, cruelty free make up brush brand. They have different ranges to browse online but this specific one is from the ‘Green Bambu’ range…

My first impressions of the brush were that it was a well made, strong and good quality brush. Usually when you buy cheaper brushes the metal stem (cannot think of correct term please help) has movement. This is not the case with this brush, it’s sturdy as a mountain goat.
The brush itself is so soft, some people have the opinion that when you do have eco-friendly brushes you’re not going to get the same quality as you would from those that are not. NOT THE CASE. This brush even after it’s first wash was soft, it still is. One of my favourite factors is the green bambu handle, i really like that touch and it really has emphasis on the whole ‘Eco’ branding.

I replaced my usual eye brushes that i use on the inner eye with this brush and it was fantastic! it applied colour perfectly and even blended well for my outer eye. There was no shedding of bristles and it didn’t take too much shadow on so i avoided coloured powder down my face!

Price wise this range is great for those who want to try out new brushes but don’t want to spend loads at the risk of not liking them. The range starts from £6.50 up to £14.95, you can buy sets from £24.95. This brush in particular is priced at £7.50 which i think is reasonable. Considering these are eco brushes i would of expected the price to be higher.

Overall opinion? I am looking forward to trying out more of Bdellium brushes especially their Studio Line! I would definitely recommend these if you’re looking at alternative brushes from the usual!
