Aromantik – Happily Ever Afternoon perfume review – Glam Radar

Aromantik’s Happily Ever Afternoon is the scent of a tropical holiday. It has all the warmth and sweetness of relaxing in a tropical garden after a day day at the beach, the mixture of tropical flowers, creamy citrus and faint woods are comforting, enveloping and evocative.

Aromatik describes Happily Ever Afternoon as “is sunshine in a bottle” and I couldn’t agree more. It’s bursting with golden light, one could not wear this fragrance without closing their eyes and imagining the sun on their face. The mixture of sweetened lemon and frangipani blossoms is intoxicating. There’s a slight heaviness to the flowers, a touch of skin sweating under the sun’s heat and a creamy base.

There’s something almost effervescent about the citrus used in this scent, it’s slightly fizzy – almost like a refreshing lemon cocktail. Whereas lemon tends to be an opening player that fizzles out after the first scene in many perfumes, the lemon here is long lasting – making itself known throughout the development of Happily Ever Afternoon. The floral aspect is the one that seems to fade with time, giving way to a warm wood base that has just a hint of musk.

I can imagine wearing Happily Ever Afternoon while holidaying on an Island, or perhaps in the middle of winter when I’m dreaming of a sunny getaway.
