An oldie but a goody – Tea tree oil Review | Glam Radar

Sometimes we get so caught up in fancy sounding complicated products that we forget how good the basics really are. Here is my review of An oldie but a goody – Tea tree oil  !

For example Tear Tree oil. It’s simple yet effective and is unsurprisingly one of the best sellers on The Body Shop website.

For £6.50 you get 10ml vial of 15% tea tree oil. I adore the smell of tea tree. It just smells clean and fresh to me but bear in mind the scent is quite strong so if it’s not your favourite fragrance beware. Is has a dropper style opening to it which frankly is a bit useless. I normally find it easiest to put a (clean) finger over the opening and tip it upside down to get some product on the finger then apply it to any blemishes.

This works best if you apply it as soon as you see a blemish starting to form. It takes down any redness and helps heal any active break outs much more quickly than if they are left to their own devices. I even apply this daily to an area on my chin where I seem to constantly have hormonal break outs (I’m blaming my contraception) and it helps prevent new blemishes from appearing.

What staple products are you a fan of? I think Tea tree oil and Aloe Vera gel are two simple but fail safe products that have worked wonders for years for me. Do you have any old school tips and tricks to share? X
