Spring Nail Polish Haul – All under $5 – Glam Radar

by Maria · March 20, 2015

When I find a new website that has great prices, I can’t wait to share it with everyone. I am one of those people who is just not terribly into nail polish, and I refuse to spend 8-9 dollars on a single bottle. When I find it cheaper, I will purchase quite a few to last me awhile, so I don’t run into colors that I want in the store for full price. I found a site while watching some YouTube videos that everyone seemed to be really pleased with – nailsupplies.us Nail Supplies is incredibly similar to Head2ToeBeauty or the other sort of whole sale nail stores. Just like those websites you can purchase polish, racks, removers, tools, and much much more. I was not sponsored to do this video, I purchased these with my own money, which brings me to my next piece of information. Shipping. Is. Ridiculous. It’s over $10 for shipping, which I guess it’s hard to package and send breakables, but I hated paying that much. You could’ve gotten five more China Glaze polishes for that. When I got the colors in the mail I didn’t like a couple, but it’s not even worth sending it back because they don’t give you free shipping and you can’t get that $10 refunded. So just make sure you know what you want before hand! All China Glaze is usually around $2.99 unless it’s a special polish Orly and Essie are usually around $4.50 a piece Let’s get on with the haul Essie – Haute as Helloessie-e28093-haute-as-hello This shade is a pastel orange-coral mix which is great for spring and summer. I bought several colors that would pair well with corals and pastels to do the “multi-colored” nail trend! essie-e28093-tart-deco Tart Deco looks oddly similar to Haute as Hello, but it is a little darker, and has a sheen to it. Haute as Hello is more of a matte pastel, where this shade has a little bit more of a deeper orange undertone and a slight golden sheen. essie-e28093-van-de28099go This color reminds me a lot of Essie’s Fiji, just a very nice baby pink, but this color is a little more vibrant and less muted. China Glaze – Peachy Keenchina-glaze-e28093-peachy-keen I am a super sucker for anything peach, I just think the color is so perfect for the upcoming seasons. I think peach tends to pair well with corals, pinks and oranges as well, so it will be easy to pair these with other colors to create that multi-colored effect again. China Glaze – Passionchina-glaze-e28093-passion I could not for the life of me get a good shot of this color. For some reason, the camera tends to pick up all the yellow tones in anything gold, where as this especially when you just see it in natural light, is much more champagne. I know the metallic nails were in for fall and winter, but I love gold nails. You could also use this polish for an accent nail, even though it is opaque. china-glaze-e28093-sugar-high This is one of the colors I wasn’t too fond of. On the swatches I found it looked much more of a coral that’s has more pink undertones, where as when I got it, it looks much more like a regular pink with a little bit of a fuchsia undertone. I still think that this will make a great spring and summer color, though! China Glaze – Sun Worshipperchina-glaze-e28093-sun-worshipper The brightest color in the bunch. You can see the neon took away from the entire photo, and that’s pretty much all you can see! This is a gorgeous bright neon orange/yellow. I think this will make such a fun toe color in the summer, especially with a tan! Sometimes if you put neon greens or yellow on your toes it can look a little gross, but if you find a good combination between yellow and orange with warmer undertones, it is great! China Glaze – Rose Fantasychina-glaze-e28093-rose-fantasy Again, another color that I totally missed the mark with. When I googled swatches it did look more bright pink and with a nice rose gold undertone, but for some reason it’s much more mauve. This might be a good fall color instead. Orly – Fabulous Flamingoorly-e28093-fabulous-flamingo This is another one of those fuchsia pink colors that I mistook for something else online. I do really like this color though because it’s matte. I think this will make a good toe color, or a color to pair with the other pinks in my collection. orly-e28093-cotton-candy This was a pretty hot polish in the beauty community world at one time. It was always out of stock, and it was just everyone’s go-to pink. What I love about this is that it’s a lot warmer and doesn’t look so pale on the fingernails like Essie’s Fiji. I think this will pair beautifully with some of the corals I purchased! orly-e28093-prelude-to-a-kiss Prelude to a Kiss is a much more pastel pink with a bit of a peach undertone. I know that you can’t see it terribly well with the photo, but stay tuned for the swatch. This pairs very nicely with Haute as Hello or Cotton Candy! spring-nail-polish-haul-swatches
