hello beauties checkout my SOAP & GLORY TRICK AND TREATMENT UNDER EYE DARK CIRCLE CONCEALER review!
Soap & Glory isn’t a brand I typically pay particular attention to, but they seem to have a very loyal fan base and I am forever reminding myself to try more from the range. I picked up Trick And Treatment, a concealer designed to neutralise dark under eye circles from their slowly growing cosmetics range. The design is in keeping with the playful Soap & Glory theme, and the thin plastic tube with the doe foot applicator bares a striking resemblance to their lip gloss packaging. The thin creamy consistency is decent, not a million miles away from other under eye concealers, and it lasts well under my eyes without looking too heavy or too dry. On the whole, it is not a bad under eye concealer, but there are two major problems which prevents me from fully singing its praises.
1. I think it is worth pointing out that the concealer only comes in one shade (so far). As its purpose is to lighten dark under eye circles, it should be fine for most skin tones except those with very dark or very pale complexions. My friend with NC35 skin tone uses this exact concealer, and the colour works just as well for me (NC20-25).
2. The concealer contains (very fine) golden microshimmer. Now, I have never noticed the shimmer on my friend’s under eye circles when she uses this so I am confident in saying that it is not glaringly obvious, but it is definitely there, and I can detect it on my skin when in bright sunlight (admittedly with my nose pressed against the mirror). Initially I was suspicious of its presence, but I have been using it for a while now and it really isn’t as big a deal as I imagined it to be. Of course I would enjoy this concealer even more shimmer free, but now, I just use it on the days when I know it’s not going to be sunny ;D (I wear eyeglasses most of the time so my under eye area is partially obstructed from view to others anyway.)
