SKIN EMERGENCY with Lush Brazened honey and Dermalogica

SKIN EMERGENCY with Lush Brazened honey , Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant and Dermalogica Multivitamin Power recovery masque :

Thursday night was a course night out at my University. It was particularly viscous and very drunken affair. I wont go into the hideous details of the sheer amount of alcohol consumed…
But, it has left my skin…. Devastated and savaged. I had a massive breakout the very morning after. I didnt take my makeup off, my skin just broke out into spots and it looked very tired and dull. The texture of my skin is always an issue, and it tends to be only what I can describe as ‘bumpy’
The very thing I’ve been trying to fight against for the last few weeks! All my effort gone to waste.
Tonight I decided to do a facial to cure this skin emergency. Surely I can combine all the recent purchases and samples together to reverse the damage?

Well, here goes nothing! It can’t do anything bad.

Step 1:  Lush Brazened honey  face maskLush-Brazened-honey

First thing up was my LUSH Facemask. I’ve blogged about it before last week but its called ‘Brazened honey. I thought this would be a perfect first step as on the tub it states it is for ‘tired skin’.
The honey soothes the skin, and the ground almond gently exfoliates. There is fruit and herbs and spices which stimulate the skin.

I slapped this onto dry skin and let it dry, massaging it into the skin when washing it off to let it exfoliate. It was perfect. It left my skin softer and generally scrubbed all the nastyness of the night off my face. I really would repurchase this again if only it had a longer shelf life – It only lasts about 3 weeks and needs to be kept cold in the fridge.Dermalogica-Multivitamin-Thermafoliant
Step 2: Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant
In my glossybox I had the Dermalogica samples. I’ve been meaning to give them a go, so I thought this could be my step two. I used the Demalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant. I slapped this straight after onto dry skin to make it more intense. Apparently vitamin A and C help to re nourish the skin, and chemicals such as silica help encourage new cell renewal.

Definitely will help my horrible skin – post night out!

I put a teeny bit of this on. It has tiny bits in to help exfoliate. I left this on for about 3 minutes and I have to say – I didnt exactly love it. Its quite greasy and didnt feel very nice on the skin. It also tastes awful if it goes near the mouth! Beware! After a few minutes it started to tingle so i rinsed it off in circular motions. It states it warms when in contact with water but I didnt really notice this.

After this was on it did make my skin silly smooth! It just smoothed my skin out so I may seriously consider handing over the £20 for a bottle of this. It really works, but maybe only use when your skin is in a bad condition 🙂

Step 3: Dermalogica Multivitamin Power recovery masqueDermalogica-Multivitamin-Power-recovery-masque
Dermalogica Multivitimin Power recovery masque. This helps the skin to recover from damage and also helps to aid new tissue renovation. I thought this would help after the trauma my skin has been under. This comes out yellow and I slapped this on and it is a very light texture. I left this on for about 15 minutes.

It didnt feel drying at all. It felt moisturising, and very soothing. No face product has ever felt so nourishing – But for the price I was unsure if its worth it!

Step 4:
Finished with a moisturiser of your choice. I use a basic bargain anti wrinkle moisturiser which Ive had about 2 years now which I LOVE which I’m also running out of which will feature in my first ‘hit pan’ video:)
My skin now feels super super smooth. Nourished and healthy. I cant after one use comment on which I would repurchase as my skin was horrible and anything will be an improvement. Maybe once I finish the samples I can comment 🙂
