It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product Review – Glam Radar

by Nikki · March 5, 2015

Hello! My hair has been stressed on an almost daily basis since I was in middle school when I discovered the magic of heat straighteners. I vividly remember days after school closed up in my best friend’s room relentlessly damaging the fuck out of our hair together. In a way, it was a weird bonding process where we had a chance to catch-up, gossip, and most importantly, convince each other we were so beautiful and the reason why we couldn’t get guys was surely because we were so intimidating.

Right…anyways, I did a lot of growing up since then, but I still employ the power of heat styling on any day I am going out. There are occasional gym trips and grocery shopping outings where I will let it be natural…but in that case, it is pulled up in a top bun of sorts. It’s not that my hair is terrible or anything (well recently it has been, but I will get to that later in the post), I just have always preferred the neat-ness I could achieve with a little heat. Currently, my hair is rather dry on the ends, prone to split-ends, a little oilier near the roots, a little past my shoulder in length, with a slightly frizzy wavy texture. I started out naturally as a medium brunette. During high school the only coloring I did was occasional at-home highlights that were very minimal. When I got to college though, I started dying it black. I think I just wanted change and fancied altering my appearance – I got piercings, started getting more into makeup…all that jazz. Going black was easier and cheaper for me to do at home since I was already a pretty solid brunette. To lighten didn’t seem natural either. I didn’t want a blonder look, and I couldn’t afford a salon visit at the time. Since that first dying, I have never gone back all natural. I continued to darken it up, added streaks, removed streaks, tried the ombre look several times with different colors, so on and so forth. I just can’t really get past the awkward root grow-out stage and I have learned the power and permanence of the all-mighty black hair dye. Every once and a while I miss my lighter brown or wish I could get more highlights, and have to realize I have totally shot that chance with the black dye. But at the same time, I realize I am a very impulsive person, and I am always going to want to change my look up to some degree. That’s just me. Lately, my hair has been screaming at me for the heat and dying I have tortured it with. I do daily deep conditioning, but I haven’t got a trim in a while (I know I really need one!) and the ends especially have been super dry. I hate my split ends! I have started using It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In after I shower to help my poor strands. This product claims to a long list of things including repair dry/damaged hair, control frizz, work as a heat protector, seal hair color, stop hair breakage, enhance natural body, and detangle. I needed all these things in my hair’s life! I simply spray it in my palms and run it in through hair, focusing on my ends, before I blow-dry and style. It smells like the generic hair salon product smell if that makes any sense and looks like snot. It works really well to detangle my hair when I first start brushing it and does seem to add some much needed shine. I am very pleased that it gives me a little more protection from my daily styling!

As you can see, my hair is not a happy camper in the morning before I do anything. That is a very honest picture haha.. Afterwards my hair feel soft to the touch and conditioned. Before I started using this product, my ends would be so much worse looking! Kinda like frizz balls on the very ends.

This product has been a life-saver for me. Have any of you ever tried it and do you like it? Maybe you’ve seen your own hairdresser use it before on you when styling?
