Philip Kingsley Elasticizer Review

Stay the Same. Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

Every so often in the beauty blogosphere comes along a product that gains instant cult status and Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is one of those products. A pre-shampoo treatment, this highly acclaimed hair therapy promises to deliver “elasticity, bounce and shine to hair” and “provides UV protection even after washing, helping prolong the life of colour treatments”. I was immediately taken in hook, line and sinker – my hair is notoriously dry and a decade (eek) long addiction to hair straighteners and colouring has resulted in a less than desirable condition.

Quite simply, wow. All the hype surrounding Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is there for very good reason. The elasticising effect of this treatment improves the strength, stretchability and suppleness of hair, whilst adding shine (impressively even on my stubborn curly hair) and leaving hair incredibly soft and smooth. Hair instantly feels less dry and less brittle – this is such a welcome relief for damaged and frazzled hair.
To use, wet hair, and apply throughout your hair concentrating on damaged ends. Leave on for fifteen minutes, rinse off and shampoo and condition as normal. Even on first use, the condition of hair feels wonderfully improved and unbelievably soft. This feeling only gets better with use. I have used this once a week for the last two weeks, and I am absolutely delighted with the results – I don’t think my hair has felt so healthy since I was in Year 7 (and that was back in the nineties!).

It’s not often that I feel I can say I’m doing something good for my hair. Everytime I turn my hair straighteners on I feel a pang of guilt and the stern words of my hairdresser ring around my ears. Not with Elasticizer. This is such a remarkable product and the accolades that go hand in hand with it are well and truly deserved.
