I discovered that one thing that I do not do enough of on this blog is outfits of the day!
And tutorials… I’ll figure it out!
So today, my mother-in-law and I went shopping and to a decorating class at Pottery Barn.
I figured it would be the perfect opportunity for me to do a little outfit of the day!
You can also expect another coming up tomorrow, because I am going on a job interview, and I have the most GORGEOUS dress for it!
The weather in these shots was phenomenal, because I see that just as I sat down to upload this, it started pouring!
So without further hesitation, let’s get into the look…
Warning: I get super squinty in the sunlight – my eyes are AWFUL. So sorry if I am making some funny faces 😛
My “Seafoam” top is a silky, slouchy top, which was actually a gift from my cousin!
It’s in a size small and it’s from New York and Company!
It has a covered zipper that ends just at the base of your bust line, so you can wear a different colored cami underneath and expose it a bit.
The ends of the sleeve and the bottom of the top is fitted, making it very flattering.
I was a little unsure at first about this top, but I FREAKING LOVE IT (to be blunt, haha).
I really love the way this shirt elongates my torso and it’s very slimming!
My skinny jeans are Jeggings from American Eagle. These are in the indigo wash, and are a size 4!
They are my go-to jeans, and I can never live without a good pair of skinnies. I feel like matching this green top with the jeans just looked so fun and casual. A real put together outfit, without trying too hard.
My little Sperry knock offs are from Old Navy 😉
They are gold, which compliments the golden metallic undertones of the top! I always loved gold and green paired together.
These were around $20.00, and are great quality.
I’ll give you a tip though, until these babies are broken in, you better wear some band aids around your pinky toes and back of your heels!
The only accessory I chose to wear today other than my wedding rings is this cross necklace. I featured this in my previous post, but I absolutely love this.
I purchased this at a new boutique that opened in Naperville, IL called Room 363.
My mother-in-law brought me there and I absolutely fell in love with his jewelry, so I picked this up right away!
If you’re curious to hear what’s on my face –
I wore Urban Decay’s new NAKED Skin Foundation in the shade 4.0 mixed with a small amount of 5.0.
I topped it off with my Chanel Double Matte Perfection Powder.
For blush I wore MAC’s Pink Swoon, with MAC’s Too Chic as a highlighter.
For bronzer, I wore NYC’s Sunny, lightly dusted along my cheek bones and temples.
All I am wearing on my eyes is MAC’s Satin Taupe on the lid, MAC’s Soft Brown in the crease and Benefit’s They’re Real Mascara!
My lips is, of course, Buxom’s White Russian.
I am absolutely loving the NAKED Skin foundation, and I may have to justify buying the full bottle! That or continually go get samples! 🙂
That’s all for today’s outfit of the day!
Stay tuned for my “Job Interview” edition tomorrow!
