Organic Whole Wheat Garlic Flatbread Recipe – Glam Radar

I have been dying to make my own pizza dough for longest and yesterday for lunch I got the chance to finally do it.  This is a great idea if you are trying to eat very healthy because you know all the ingredients that are in the dough.  So I decided to make an organic flat bread for my white pizza for lunch.  For those of you who do not know what a white pizza is it is basically a tomato sauce free pizza.  In other words it is basically cheese, cheese, and more cheese!  Here is the recipe and I hope you enjoy the amazing Rolling Dough video filmed by Anthony Nunez below. organic-whole-wheat-garlic-flatbread-recipe 2 cups of Organic Unbleached Whole Wheat flour 1 1/2 cups of Organic Unbleached All Purpose flour 1 tbsp of natural dry active yeast 1 tbsp of garlic infused olive oil 1 1/2 cups of water (make sure it is warm water) organic-whole-wheat-garlic-flatbread-recipe-recipe Mix together the sugar and water until it has dissolved together in a large bowl.  Add the dry active yeast but do not stir let it sit there in the water for about 10 minutes and it will begin to foam up.  Then add the olive oil and salt.  Mix it well together and then add the whole wheat flour and all purpose flour and mix it. It will begin to form into dough and once that happens pour it out on a floured surface and begin to mix it around with your hands.  Make sure you do this for a while until all of flour from the surface is absorbed into the bread.  You will create a soft ball of dough.  Place it in a bowl and drizzle some olive oil on top.  Coat the olive oil all over the dough and cover it in the bowl with a paper towel.  Let it sit there for about an hour and it will rise and expand.  After that take the dough out of the bowl and split it in half.  Save the other half of dough in a plastic Ziploc bag and store it in the refrigerator.  Now place some flour on a flat surface that you are working on and also flour a rolling pin.  Place the dough on top and begin to flatten the bread (watch video below to see how to flatten dough).  Once that is done place the dough on a non stick baking pan and sprinkle some olive oil and oregano.  Add any toppings of your choice and bake it in a 425 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes depending on how crispy you want the dough. how-to-prepare-organic-whole-wheat-garlic-flatbread-recipe
