Here is my review of OCTOBER FAVORITES!!!!! !
This month I tried really hard to rotate my makeup and use things that somehow got pushed to the side. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun it is to fall in love with products all over again! Again I had so many favorites but I kept makeup brushes and skincare products out of it in an attempt to keep it simple.
NOIR SEXY LITTLE THINGS: One of my FAVORITE scents everrrrrrrr! I discovered this 3 years ago when my friend included a travel size in my bachelorette gift. She knew me to well…I have a hard time wearing perfume that smells to strong. I usually end up with a migraine; therefore I’m very picky about what I wear. After using the entire travel size I ran out and purchased the full size of Noir Sexy Little Things. It’s described as “At once elegant and playfully provocative, it’s an enchanting blend of sparkling nectarine, sultry amber and exotic cattelaya orchid. Domestic.”
Fragrance type: fruity floral
Top notes: nectarine, juicy apple, sparkling citrus, pineapple, guanabana, mouthwatering pear, red fruit, bergamot
Middle notes: cattelaya orchid, muget, cyclamen, jasmine petals, plum, vanilla, dewberry, cassis
Low notes: golden amber, velvet musk, sultry woods, tonka bean
Unfortunately the pretty perfume bottle didn’t work very well. After a couple of days the pump stopped working. My hubby thought he could fix it and when he was done trying; the tube looked a little deformed so I never took it back. Instead I just keep refilling the travel spray bottle and it works just fine! Somehow it got pushed aside but I’m glad I started wearing it again.
OPI NAIL POLISH IN PASSION: I love this polish! It looks clean and polished and it applies quickly. Check out my review on it HERE
SHISEIDO SHIMMERING CREAM EYE COLOR: The absolute BEST cream shadows I have ever tried. I wish I could collect every color. They don’t cream, apply easily and 9 hours later, they look like you just applied them. I’m obsessed! I reviewed another shade HERE
BR709 is a shimmering brown taupe that pulls green. It’s perfect for Fall
MAC MOLESKIN: I have no idea how I ever applied my eyeshadow without this! It’s the perfect blending color if you are pale (or not). It’s been replacing my Mac’s Wedge because it’s a bit lighter.
MAC FLUIDLINE IN DARK ENVY: I love the color green so I was excited to pick this up awhile back. But then I just left it sitting there in my makeup collection. I was a bit hesitant to wear it because it’s not green, but I’ve been playing around with colored eyeliner lately and this looks stunning! I’ve never had a problem with my Mac Fluidlines drying out on me. They last a few years without ever drying out. I do however always store them upside down.
NARS BLUSH IN SIN AND ILLAMASQUA BLUSH IN AMBITION: These are perfect colors for Fall in my opinion. It warms up your face and I think both colors look gorgeous on any skin tone.
SIN AND AMBITION
BENEFIT EYESHADOW IN LEGGY: I bought this a couple of years ago and I’m trying to use it up because it broke. It’s a shimmering nude pink. It’s perfect as a highlight or an all over color. It’s extremely soft and creamy which is why I think it broke so easily. Now that I’ve been using it more, I’m sad to see it run out. I’m not sure I’d repurchase it again because they tend to be so soft they break.
BUXOM GLOSS IN ST. BARTH: Trinity gave this to me last Mother’s Day (I think… bad mommy). It’s a sheer lilac gel based gloss. Although I normally wouldn’t choose a lilac shade, I love how it slightly brightens my face without shouting “I have purple lips!” It feels so conditioning and buttery on your lips. You feel a slight minty cooling sensation but it doesn’t sting. It just feels like it’s somehow soothing your lips. It has a sneaky little mirror on the inside of the cap which I find adorable. I also love how you don’t have to “dig” your fingers in the gloss. It’s such a gel based formula that your finger glides right over it picking up just enough product.
I hope everyone had a good month of October… Now on to the Holidays!
