Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation in Warm Golden 320 Review and Swatch – Glam Radar

First of all, let us all just rejoice that my posts are becoming more regular! Eric and I are ready and waiting for our big move next week! We are all packed, so now we are just relaxing and waiting. Now let’s get into what this post is about – and that is a new product out from Revlon! I absolutely love Revlon products – everything from lips to eyes to face, so when I heard they were coming out with a new foundation (and that it was good for oily skin!), I really wanted to experiment with it. 1-revlon1-2 I have several problems with drug store foundations, including the fact that it’s definitely a difficult guessing game finding your color. I’ll admit, I stood in front of the Revlon display staring at these colors and searching reviews on MakeupAlley trying to determine my right shade. I read mixed reviews, mostly saying that if you were somewhere between NC25-NC30 that you would be in between colors 240 and 320. When I was looking at 240 it just looked incredibly pink, and with oily skin, I already have a problem with my foundations oxidizing and turning into a pink-shade. So I read on to see that 320 was better for people who wanted a more neutral/yellow undertone. I decided to just take the risk and purchase 320 which is Warm Golden. I got out to the car and put a little on my cheek, and although it is just a bit darker than my skin tone, if I blend it well into my face and neck, it seems like a good shade for my skin tone. I also plan on getting a little bit more color now that I’m not stuck in the house packing! Granted, I will be back at Target in a few months when it gets colder to get my winter shade if I do end up loving this foundation. 2-revlon-colorstay-whipped-creme-foundation 3-colorstay-whipped-creme-foundation-by-revlon The first thing I noticed about this product is that the packaging is simply beautiful. Normally drug store foundations are pretty simple and less luxe. You’d think of them being in tubes or breakable jars, but the Revlon Whipped Creme foundation is in this beautiful thick glass jar with a simple black top. It looks far more attractive, which is always a plus. It also comes with this white plastic stopper, which I would throw away, but I have heard from other buyers that they kept this because the product can slip around in the jar and get the top all messy. So I am going to keep this for sure! For a bit of shade reference – When I wore MAC foundations, I was an NC25. I currently wear MUFE HD in the number 118, Light in the Smashbox BB Cream, and Nude in Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. This, like I said, seems like a workable shade. I have heard lots of buyers say that the shades are very forgiving, which I would agree with. 4-colorstay-whipped-creme-foundation-swatched-1 The texture of this product is absolutely heavenly. I absolutely hate the feel of silicone, and I was worried that because this is a fuller coverage foundation, good for oily skin and has a whipped texture that it would feel somewhat like silicone. It does not at all! It feels exactly like thick whip cream. It’s just the perfect texture and consistency, and applies so beautifully. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with this foundation, and that’s amazing since I was not at all impressed with the original Colorstay. I definitely see myself really loving this! Have you tried yet? Do you plan on picking this up?
