NARS Sheer Glow Review – Glam Radar

Every now and then, a product comes into your life that you really can’t believe you ever lived without. Here is my review of NARS Sheer Glow Review!

NARS Sheer Glow is that product for me. I guess it’s a tad premature me doing a review already; I only brought this last week. But you know when you just know

I popped into Selfridges on the way home the other day and managed to bag myself a sample. The lovely lady behind the counter told me all she had was Santa Fe, so I tried it. I originally wanted Punjab but now after looking at swatches, I guess Punjab would be a tad dark. As it turns out- Santa Fe is great for my skin tone; although a red head I’m not actually that pale; especially as I do wear a bit of tan.

Santa Fe is what I would describe as medium, warm-toned beige, which is just about right. I loved this so much after one application that I went out and brought the full-size straight away. How eager.

Now, as I’m sure you have heard this- don’t be fooled by this bad boys namesake. This is a medium coverage foundation, which is buildable, but I wouldn’t say it was in any way sheer, its not watery or anything. However, it does give a hint of a glowy -esque finishonce applied, which gives your skin such a healthy look. What I love about this is the way it feels on my skin. I dot it all over my face, and buff it in using the Real Techniques buffing brush (of course) and it actually feels like I am applying face cream! It’s a lovely feeling actually; very soothing and the product blends so well. I don’t even set it with powder; it just sits very well and makes my whole face look hydrated, yet ‘done’ if that makes any sense at all.

Its also pretty long lasting too- I put this on whilst getting ready for work, and when I return at around 6pm, it only then starts to wear away. I also like the fact it has no SPF- this means you don’t get that ‘ghostface’ look in pics.

I have to add that I detest the packaging. Why in Gods name is there no pump? And, if you do decide to buy the pump separately (its about three quid I think) you can’t put the lid on top afterwards! Soo messy. So, you have to pour it, which I hate doing as it gets everywhere. And also, the glass bottle means it’s hard to travel with (if it smashed and went all over my Mulberry bag…. I don’t even want to think about that). It is £30 for 30mls, which is rather pricey, but NARS is a high-end brand and it really is good stuff, so I do think it’s worth the rather hefty price tag.

There is a huge colour spectrum so you almost certainly will find a shade right for you. I would however recommend trying to get hold of a sample if you can, before you part with your cash, as you never know you may hate it; I have heard this foundation is an acquired taste. But, I absolutely love it- I would even go as far as to say it’s now my to-go product.

Have you ever tried any of the NARS foundations?

Lots of Love,

Laura
