Angelika has become one of my top three most used blushes along with MAC Flirt & Tease and NARS Dolce Vita. I know they’re not really budget-friendly picks but if you’re a person who can just wear the same blushes over and over, I don’t see why you shouldn’t invest in one or two high-end blushes. They have great wear time and are usually super pigmented so they will last you a long time.

Now, while both Flirt & Tease and Dolce Vita are perfectly appropriate for daily wear, on special occasions I prefer wearing Angelika on my cheeks. The bubblegum pink shade makes me feel feminine and sexy. Plus, it pairs absolutely well with sultry smoky eyes and nude pink lips. I always get compliments whenever I do this combo. simple-smile-3-4

It’s true that this blush is super glittery but that doesn’t bother me. The silver glitters hardly ever transfer to the other parts of my face; they mostly just sit there on my cheeks and would be gone by the end of the day. If you see my FOTDs wearing Angelika, most of the time it looks perfectly matte. That’s because Angelika is basically a matte blush with added glittters on it. It’s nothing like The Body Shop’s Shimmer Stripes or MAC Mineralized blushes for instance where the shimmers are mixed in with the pigments. Does that make any sense? Anyway, with Angelika, you can actually minimize the amount of glitters you put on your cheeks. Just use a not-so-dense blush brush and tap your brush before applying!

Swatched lightly. This is how it pretty much looks like on the cheeks. So beautiful, right? simple-smile-3-4
