My Travel Make Up Bag Essentials – Glam Radar

by Maria · July 18, 2014

Whew! Well Washington DC was a blast – complete with duck boats, cupcakes, metro rides, and festivals. Now that the whirlwind trip is over, I’m working as a camp counselor for most of July. I can’t guarantee regular posts during this month, but I’ll see what I can work out! Thanks for your patience ūüėÄ Anyways, I kind of missed the June Favorites prime time because of travel, so I figured I would just tell you now! This can kind of double as a travel makeup bag, since this post features most of the products I brought with me. whats-inside-my-travel-bag Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation:¬†It’s no secret that I’m totally obsessed with this foundation, nor is it a surprise that I’ve been using this a ton while I’m traveling! It’s a great lightweight foundation that looks great on. Can you get much better than that? MAC Lipstick in Everhip:¬†I’ve been loving pairing this with Benefit’s Coralista Gloss lately for a nice coral lip that works well for day or night. It goes with a lot of the makeup I brought, which makes getting ready in the morning really easy! Bare Escentuals Prime Time:¬†This is my favorite face primer, and it really does its job well. It helps keep my Neutrogena foundation or my Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in place all day, despite the heat. My makeup usually melts off during the hot months, but with this primer everything – including blush and bronzer – stay on all day until I remove everything with a wipe. travel-bag-must-have Benefit Coralista Gloss:¬†This was the product that I was most excited to use on my trips – just because its a great gloss and goes with lots of different makeup combinations. I talked about this a lot in the original post, but it’s just a great non-sticky gloss. I find that those are few and far between in the world of lip gloss! Maybelline Great Lash Mascara:¬†Like I’ve said earlier, this is a great basic mascara. Since I’m at camp now, I don’t need anything too fancy with eye makeup. This is a great everyday mascara that provides a natural definition – I can get away without eyeliner on most days with this mascara! Too Faced Chocolate Soleil:¬†Again, another staple in my collection. I love this for a contour, but I’ve been using it as a regular bronzer as well and I’m quite pleased with the results. Laura Mercier Eye Shadow in Temptation:¬†This is a great medium brown that I like to apply all over the lid with a fluffy brush like a Sigma E25. Its a great color to just slap on all over and not worry about creasing or smudging throughout the day, which is a plus! travel-bag-essentials Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free:¬†I love this tinted moisturizer, and I’ve been using it on days when I don’t want the Neutrogena. It provides comparable coverage to the Neutrogena, but feels a bit lighter on the skin. Fresh Sugar Lip Balm:¬†Probably as boring as it gets, but this is a great lip balm! I’ve been applying this when I start applying my makeup so it has time to sink in before applying a lip color. I find that my lip colors last longer and my lips feel great after using this! The only beef I have with this product is the price – but I’m starting to think that these expensive balms are worth their price! Benefit Coralista Blush:¬†Since its summer, I’ve been reaching for coral blushes like no other. This is a great natural blush for days when I don’t want in-your-face cheekbones. It gives me a nice glow without being totally obnoxious ūüėÄ
