My Perfume Collection

collection-of-perfumes

I wanted to do a blog post that was a bit different today, so here’s a perfume collection review! I don’t own loads of perfumes, but i personally think i own a good amount of variety! I love smelling good, i was thinking about it more in depth the other day, do we wear good smelling scents to cover our insecurities and put on a layer of confidence? I don’t know, maybe i’m getting a bit too deep in the perfume! Anyway, here’s a cheeky look into my perfume collection. lovestruck-by-vera-wang-boots

Lovestruck by Vera Wang, Boots

This Vera Wang perfume is the latest in my collection and i love it! I can already tell that i’m going to be wearing this everyday for a month or so, it’s so versatile and not too overpowering for regular use. It has very strong champagne and floral notes, which i love love love! peace-love-and-juicy-couture-juicy-couture-boots-juicy-couture-store

Juicy Couture perfumes have been my go-to fragrances since October 2011 when i visited L.A. I went in so many JC stores back then, so i had to check out their scents and that’s when my obsession began! Ever since, I’ve always used their perfumes. These are the current two i have, Peace love and Juicy Couture and Juicy Couture (yup, that’s the name!). Juicy Couture was my signature fragrance for a year and in that period of time, i bought 3 bottles of the stuff! It’s very girly and has notes of watermelon…fancy! Peace love and JC is very sweet and strong and this is where my love for it goes. I hate scents that are very strongly scented in both sweet and musk! I’m not sure if that was worded to an understandable standard, but i’m sure you catch my drift.

I hardly ever use this little gem and i call it a ‘little gem’ because i really do love it. I have no idea why i neglect it, i tried using it more often but, i always unconsciously pick something else! It’s quite a powdery scent with notes of lemon and oranges- I just wish i would use it more! paradise-next

Paradise, Next

I’ve had this for donkeys years…literally; it just never seems to reduce in size! It definitely runs with a paradise theme, linking in with the name. When i get a whiff, all i think is pine wood and gardens! Another scent i love but don’t use enough!

Love Harajuku by Gwen Stefani, Boots

Love, Harajuku by Gwen Stefani is a very cute, rose scented, floral-y perfume which was released ages ago and i think it’s at quite an affordable price. Something i’d definitely recommend to younger girls!

Avril Lavigne, The Perfume Shop Black Star and Forbidden Rose

When i was younger, i was obsessed with Avril Lavigne, so when i heard she was bringing out a fragrance i wanted it. I remember begging my mum to buy me the Black Star gift set in The Perfume Shop when i was only 10. Black Star is a very sweet scent with chocolate and vanilla undertones – which i find so unusual in many perfumes, especially the chocolate notes. Forbidden Rose came out a little later and i have to say, i don’t love it as much but even though i don’t, i would have still bought it for the Avril Lavigne factor. It’s quite a fruity scent, which i always find is cute for younger girls especially with its apple notes.

Curiosity, Hidden Passion, 99p Store

If someone asked me 2 months ago if i’d ever use a perfume from the 99p store, i wouldn’t hesitate to say no. But, ask me now and i’d say hell yeah! A little while ago me and a friend popped into the store to have a wonder, as you do (no one can resist 99p stores!) and we came across the perfume section. I never thought their perfumes would be worth buying- even at 99p but, we still smelt a few anyway. The first couple were disgusting which very nearly put me off trying anymore, but, clearly it didn’t. So i then smelt Curiosity which was different and smelt very sweet, much like a Juicy Couture type fragrance. Then i smelt Hidden Passion which was even better- something i could wear everyday because it isn’t over powering or too sweet! I’d definitely pay more than £0.99 for each, such a bargain! the-pefume-shop-the-female-boss-by-tulisa

The Pefume Shop, The Female Boss by Tulisa

Much like the Avril Lavigne situation, i bought this perfume purely because Tulisa’s my idol. The scent however is vile and i sneeze every time i spray it… oh well!

Laura Ashley, Lilly of The Valley Room Spray

As mentioned in my “Short list” post about keeping my bedroom smelling clean and fresh, here is the Lily of The Valley room spray. Yes, i’m well aware it’s not a perfume but i don’t really care, so here it is! I love this scent for brightening up my room and keeping it smelling fresh, definitely an item i will re-purchase. That was my perfume collection! I also keep my MAC brush cleanser in the tray, but that’s not relevant so i thought i’d leave it out of this post! What perfumes do you love? Do you have any of mine?
