I use this relatively small-ish wicker basket to make home to a selection of my favourite make-up products that I reach for pretty much every day. I’ve hoarded away years of make-up in other various boxes, draws, bags etc so I’m not as much of an angel as I’m making out to be with my modestly sized box!
So this is my ‘everyday’ collection that I’ve managed to build up, I don’t use all of them everyday by any means, but these are my favourite and most used products.. dare I say, of all time.
I love MAC
First up are my face products, I use the Chanel ‘Le Blanc De Chanel’ primer and Vitalumiere Aqua foundation everyday
, no exceptions. If I’m still not happy, I put on my MAC Studio Finish Concealer on any blemishes and Chanel Mat Lumiere Luminious powder. If I’m still
not happy (not easy to pleasey) then I dab MAC Strobe Cream on my cheek bones and around my eyes and contour with a darker shade of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder.
Then, on my cheeky cheeks, I use Sleek Contour Kit in ‘Light’, Sleek Rose Gold Blush, Benefit’s Coralista and Hoola, Maybelline Cream Blush in Peach- not all at the same time! I also use The high beam instead of the MAC Strobe Cream, I love glowy cheeks. All of these blushers and bronzers contain a little shimmer, because.. well I like it that way :-).
Then it’s time for my eyes and brows. All palettes here! I will reach for my Too Faced Brow Envy Kit every single day and alternate between Urban Decay’s Naked Palette and Benefit’s Big Beautiful Eyes Contour Kit. Urban Decay Primer Potion, fantastic, can’t beat it. I have three key eyeliners; Barry M Liquid Liner, Maybelline Gel Liner and MAC’s TechnaKohl Liner in GraphBlack and
three mascaras; Too Faced Lashlight, MAC Zoom Fast Black Lash and Rimmel’s Glameyes.
The lips depend on what mood I’m in, if I really can’t be bothered on goes the Carmex, if I can’t be bothered but people are around I’ll use Sleek Pout Polish any other time of the day you can find me with a glossy helping of MAC’s Hue Lipstick. My Boyfriend’s Grandparents bought me these different No7 Lipglosses for Christmas, they are so gorgeous and shimmery and I love love love them so much, almost as much as my Boyfriend! Needless to say, they deserve a spot in the box. I might do a review and swatches on these if you want, let me know
Then, I just have stuff. Every good make-up kit needs stuff. A couple of random Crest Whitestrips that I had left over, my Model Mirror (still loving this!!), cotton buds for those damn liquid lines, tweezers for fake eyelashes or stray brows and last but by no means least my MAC Cleanse Off Oil. This is amazing, I get a couple of pumps on my hands and just massage it in to my face if I’ve had a lot of make-up on and then wash off with water or just jump straight in to the shower. It leaves my skin feeling and smelling great and isn’t at all drying. This is an excellent travel item; a remover, cleanser, toner and moisturiser all in one!!
Wow, what a long post, thanks for reading! I hope this has been of some interest! I love seeing other people’s so I thought I would share mine with you. 🙂
Have a lovely week!
