MUA BRUSH ON CONCEALER PEN IN RADIANCE – REVIEW – Glam Radar

HI Girls! here is my review on MUA BRUSH ON CONCEALER PEN IN RADIANCE !RRP: £2.00 I popped into Kenilworth a couple of weeks ago with some family friends. Kenilworth is basically just full of charity shops, but does have a Superdrug so I took the lady I was with into there with no intention on buying, just browsing. She’s always complimenting me on my make up and forever asking me what product I used, where I bought it from and how to apply it… so anyway, I decided to take her up to the Make Up Academy section and ended up picking out a few bits for her just to get her started including my must-have Professional Eye Primer. Of course whilst looking I spotted things I wanted for myself, as always. I picked up a MUA Love Hearts Nail Polish in U&I, MUA Love Hearts Lip Balm in Sugar Lips, MUA Brush On Concealer Pen and Superdrug Acetone Formula Nail Polish Remover. The concealer pen was something I wanted to try as I’ve just run out of my No7 Calm & Conceal which has been discontinued just after I discovered it and replaced with a Rapid Spot Rescue (you now have to buy a concealer separately – making it a lot more expensive!). As I got it out of it’s little black box, it was of course a black tube which you pull the top lid off revealing a brush. You then twist the bottom cap of it until the concealer begins to appear within the brush as if by magic! It makes a clicking sound and reminds me of retractable pencils like at school where if you screw it too much the lead will just snap – in this case if you screw it too much, too much liquid will come up! The brush that has the concealer already contained within it actually makes it really easy to apply. It does have a really weird smell to it, but I can’t work it out. Fortunately the smell doesn’t stick around, at least I don’t think!!! I just put a small amount on my problem areas, and it actually has really good coverage hiding any red or puffy areas. What I like about it is that it doesn’t emphasise if you’ve got dry areas around a blemish and will also cover any areas of moisture. I’m not sure if it comes in any other shades, but I think mine’s suitable for a light-medium complexion. MUA’s website only seems to have Shade 1 – Radiance so I’m assuming that’s what mine is. The MUA Brush On Concealer Pen lasts really well for a good 6 hours or so but I also think this depends on whether you use foundation on top of this as some can dry blemishes out. This is another must-have bargain for me, and I’m quickly becoming a huge fan of this really affordable brand.
