Milani Baked Blush in Corallina Review

One of my favorite type of cosmetics are blushers. They add the perfect touch to almost any look you are trying to achieve. A flush of color on the cheeks gives you a healthy glow!
Milani Baked Blush in Corallina ReviewI recently noticed my collection was rather small. I have the basic Cheekers from Covergirl, a tube of liquid blush from Almay, a cheek stain from Femme Couture, and finally some Dream Bouncy blush from Covergirl. All of them give me a slightly different finish and color, but I noticed I didn’t have any coral shades.

When walking through the drugstore I noticed a small Milani Cosmetics stand. The colors featured were so bright and bold and I knew immediately that I had to try out this coral hued blush! There were about 9 different color blushers…but also many different bold eye shadows and bronzers. They brand screamed summer to me with their line of baked products featuring shimmery warm tones and flecks of gold. Plus the makeup containers themselves were very chic!

As you can see in the picture, Corallina Baked Blush is multi-faceted with warm pink tones, shimmer, and gold. I was so excited to see how bright the color looked once applied.

“A luxurious powder blush that features a mélange infusion of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Easy to use, sensorial in texture, the nuances of color become extraordinarily luminous. Silky smooth application leaves your face looking healthy and radiant all day.” – Milani website

When I applied the color the first time I have to say, it came out very bright. I should of seen it coming with the boldness of the concentrated color! I really loved the reddish, flushed tint it gave but I had to try to rub some off with a cotton ball to correct my application mistake. In turn, the look wasn’t exactly what I wanted to achieve because it started to take off some of my finishing face powder as well. I now know to use a light hand! I know if I was more careful the color would of appeared a bit better…but I was still overall pleased.
I am very glad that I now have a coral color for my cheeks. Breaking out of my usual rosy pink blush obsession gives me more options. Plus, I think the color is perfect for the last bit of summer we have! For a price of $7.99 it is a nice product that I would repurchase again in the future. I am also interested in trying out some of their other products such as their Illuminating Face Powder.

I think the packaging and presentation is what gets me! So cute! Has anyone else ever tried the Milani line? Thoughts? Happy Sunday by the way!
