Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Candy Coral and Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser review :
While browsing my 300th Rite Aid for the new Revlon Escapism Collection (which I still can’t find), I decided to make my trip worth while and pick up two items I have been looking at for awhile now.
I wanted to share them with you and give you a few first impressions, and as always, if you want a full review please let me know!
Now, if you read my post awhile back on the Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes, you will know I didn’t have a very high opinion of them. The pigmentation wasn’t great, and the effort that it takes to get the color pay off you are looking for is sometimes not worth it.
However, I found a way to use these products so they wouldn’t sit and rot in my collection. Because they give off a subtle glow, depending on how much you apply, they are nice to wear with a more dramatic eye or lip. When you have a dramatic eye or lip, you don’t want to over do the blush, so these are perfect.
I decided to get the shade Candy Coral, which is an orange based coral, and I absolutely love it. I own the shades Hot Tamale which is a beautiful red/pink, and Pink Plum which is a VERY lightly pigmented baby pink.
The next item I had been looking at is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser.
I love using a concealer under my eyes to cover up any darkness that I may have, but I am extremely picky with the products I put under my eyes.
I used to use Maybelline’s Super Stay Concealer, but that was a little too heavy, and then I switched to LOREAL’s Magic Lumi, which is a great brightener but provides little to no coverage. They both seemed to settle into the fine lines under my eyes.
I figured since this concealer aims to work better for fine lines or wrinkles and not settle in any creases, I figured I would try it out!
I purchased the Neutralizer shade, but it also comes in Fair, Light, Medium, and Brightener (that I saw!).
I will be anxious to see how this works for my under eye area! It already feels a lot more comfortable than Maybelline Super Stay, but the coverage blows Magic Lumi out of the water.
