Mac Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Unlimited – review , swatches
In September last year Mac released theirlatest addition to the Pro Longwear range of makeup products; which also includes foundation and concealer; along side the original two-part lip products. The Pro Longwear Lipcremes are a long wearing, creamy lipstick with full pigment. The Lipcremes are meant to offer a creamy, comfortable texture where other longwear products are drying on the lips.
Last year I review Goes and Goes from the range and now I am finally reviewing Unlimited. You will notice that Mac has made a departure from their regular bullet-shaped lipstick tubes. The Lipcreme tubes are flat topped and satin-y in finish, personally I think they look a little more modern than the bullet tubes.
Unlimited is a very dirty, dusty rose pink shade. It’s creamy and very thick in texture, meaning it does tend to settle into the lines of my lips. The shade is actually a little stark on me, despite it being a muted tone, it really does stand out. You can see this lipstick in action here.
I do get several hours wear out of the Longwear Lipcremes depending on what I am doing/drinking/eating, however I do find they tend to feel dry after a few hours. The colour tends to fade off more in the middle of the lips than the edges, leaving a ‘ringed’ look which bugs me a little. However, they’re certainly the most comfortable ‘long wear’ lip product I’ve tried. Unlimited is not my favourite shade but I’d be keen to test out the gorgeous reds from this range. The Pro Longwear Lipcremes retail for $40AUD a piece and the line consists of 12 shades in total.
