Here are my initial thoughts about the new Cremeblend Blush from the MAC in Lillyland collection, due for release in January 2010.
Texture wise, it’s definitely not as sticky and tacky as the blushcremes. It’s a tricky one to describe, the surface isn’t super soft but the blush itself is really easy to work with. I applied with my MAC 188 brush and blended out with my stila 21 brush. Sometimes the application and blending of cream blushes can irritate my skin and cause redness, but I’m happy to report that there was none of that today!
Onto the individual MAC in Lillyland Cremeblend blushes
So Sweet, So Easy and Florida
Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m going to keep this one, it’s bright fuchsia! Me and pinks don’t always get along so I need to have a think. I haven’t taken any swatches of this one just in case I decide I don’t want it.
Joie-De-Vivre – I think this is my favourite of these cremeblend blushes. I love coral, there’s not much more to say. I can see myself wearing this heaps in summer.
Optimistic Orange – This is described my MAC as ‘bright coral’. As the name suggests, it’s definitely more orange than coral. I can’t wait to use this one.
Swatch So Sweet, So Easy : I wore this today. As far as pinks go, I really like this one. It’s almost a milky pink and the colour is quite sheer compared It the others but don’t let that deter you! It’s such a pretty shade of pink.
I’ll update this post over the next few days with comparison swatches with some other cream blushes I have.
Are any of these blushes catching you eye? xo
