Hi! Here is my MAC Holiday “Festive Frost” Face Kit + Swatches Review! Hope you all are enjoying the start of the long weekend Hunnies!
Happy Trick-or-Treating to everyone who are in their costumes scaring and/or giving candies! I got the MAC Holiday Face Kit 2011 Collection at MAC Duty Free Fiesta Mall yesterday, they only have the Festive Frost which is a Nordstorm Exclusive . Too bad that they will not carry the other two face kit collection in Warm and Wintercool. 1-mac-holiday-face-kit-collection Festive Frost Face Kit includes a transparent Bag with a glitter zipper handle, Lipglass in Tra-LA-LA, Amplified Lipstick in Imagine This, and the stunning snowglobe palette that houses four great selection of Matte and Iridescent eyeshadows in Expensive Pink (Veluxe Pearl), Once Upon a Time (Veluxe Pearl), Embark (Matte) and Below Zero (Veluxe Pearl) with a slide to reveal Matte blush in Buff. Plus three travel sized brushes with sparkly smooth transparent handles; 129 SE, 275 SE and 266 SE. 2-festive-frost-face-kit I super love the snow globe design of the palette and its white glossy sturdy packaging. So MAC!

So, Here are the swatches of the awaited MAC Holiday Festive Frost Collection

Once Upon a Time is rose-beige champagne with iridescent beige shimmer. It’s not chalky at all. However, it needs a heavy hand to make it show on the swatches. Nevertheless, it’s a nice shade, would be great for highlighting. Below Zero is a medium brown with red undertone, slightly shimmery. It’s smooth, soft and has a nice color payoff. I would love this as an eye crease color for deep-set looking eyes. Expensive Pink (permanent shade) is a beautiful peachy coral pink with gold shimmer reflects. I love this shade next to Below Zero. It has great texture and pigmentation. Embark (permanent shade) is a medium-dark brown with matte finish. It’s a bit dry, and hard to apply with my fingertips, which contributes to uneven application. The pigmentation is so-so. Buff is a beautiful light nude peach in matte and part of the permanent shade. The color payoff is nice. I love it! Definitely, a mistake proof neutral blush to pair with any smokey eye look! 6-amplified-creme-lipstick-swatches

Imagine This – My first Amplified Creme lipstick, a medium peach-beige with great opaque color coverage. It’s like MLBB on my quite pigmented lips. Totally not drying.

Tra-La-La lipglass is neutral caramel champagne like shade with beautiful multicolored sparkles leaning to semi-opaque color coverage.

Great Combo!

With all the MAC holiday offerings that I’ve seen yesterday, The Fabulously Festive Face kit has a pretty good value, you can definitely get more out of what you spend. All the eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks and lip glasses are basically in full sized. The Travel sized brushes are not that bad, though it’s not that of good quality compared to the regular full sized ones. It’s definitely a great gift set, I would love to receive this as a present! To those who never tried some of MAC’s products that are included in the set would definitely benefit. Just like me, I never tried any MAC eyeshadows, lipglasses, and amplified lipsticks. If i will buy each item that included in the package, it will definitely cost me more, so i find the Face kit a great bang for my buck. Plus the 10% discount that I got, not bad at all.. The case and the brushes are like bonuses to the already wonderful pack. Okay, Please hide my wallet now.. Holiday Collections are so darn tempting!
