I love my liquid liners. If I had to choose between liquid and gel liners, I’d go for the former.
But there are days when I want a smokey liner. And on those days, I use my Mac Fluidline.
What I love about it is that it gives a smooth, soft finish. Also, it can be used as a base for a smokey eye. I’ve worn it for a good 8 to 10 hours and it did not smudge.
You need to buy a nice, firm eyeliner brush to use this Mac gel eyeliner. And since the gel liner dries up on the brush too, the eyeliner brush needs to be cleaned daily too.
I’ve heard that these gel liners dry up in the pot pretty soon, so I always keep mine inverted, and inside the cardboard packaging it comes in. Have heard that these tips work, so I’m trying my luck there! A little bit of product goes a long way, though!
A lot of people are not comfortable using liquid liners and they would definitely love the ease with which they can apply fluidline or any other gel liner. Also, I applied it on my waterline and it did not sting. The Maybelline gel liner made my eyes water like crazy!
As for the color pay off, blacktrack is really black. It’s a pretty intense shade.
It stays on the lids forever! Even on my oily lids, it doesn’t smudge or fade during the day. I have worn it for about 10 hours at a stretch, and it stays just there! I have tried it on the lower lash-line a few times, and it doesn’t smudge there too, though I prefer using a kohl pencil on the lower lash line any day! The eyeliner is water-proof too, and you need a bi-phasic remover to remove it completely.
MAC Fluidline Eye Liner Gel in Blacktrack on my eye :
MAC Fluidline Eye Liner Gel is priced at Rs.1000, which is steep. But then, its MAC and we all have learnt to live with the prices because of the quality we get.
