MAC Flat Out Fabulous Retro Matte Review – Glam Radar

Hi friends! So here is my MAC Flat Out Fabulous Retro Matte Review!

I was never really committed to the whole MAC lipstick thang, I think the high street nail it when it comes to lip products with a mix of high end dupes and in some cases a better offering than some expensive brands. I bought a few ‘staple’ lipsticks from the brand, a nude, a bright pink, a true red but lately I’ve found myself lusting after more, I’ve completely fallen for the quality, colour range and their sweet vanilla cupcake scent.

Flat Out Fabulous is a beautiful dark pink/plummy shade and  is part of the retro matte collection, it’svery matte and I can find it slightly awkward to wear even with a good coat of lip balm underneath. I can’t wear this for a whole day, a few hours in and my lips feel super dry and I get that flaky lipstick feeling, reapplying on top of this looks rubbish and adding any more balm to the mix creates a mess.

Even when I start to get that dry feeling the colour is still super opaque on my lips, it really clings on for dear life. I’ve found the only times I can wear this is when I know I’ll only be wearing it for a few hours, it’s perfect for girl dates/date nights, I do get a lot of use out of it but I know I’d get even more use out of it if the formula was a tiny bit easier to work with.

If you’re used to the matte formula of Ruby Woo you’ll probably get on well with this and have none of the problems I’ve encountered, I’m a matte lover but this is just a little bit too matte for me, I didn’t think that was possible!
