MAC Dressmaker Dressmaker Lipstick Dupe – Glam Radar

by Jane · March 12, 2015

MAC Dressmaker Dressmaker is a “creamy light peach coral” lustre finish lipstick from the limited edition MACPret a Papier 2010 collection. It was extremely popular upon release and a mix of MAC Shy Girl (lighter, beiger) and MAC Ever Hip (pinker, more coral). It’s a sheer true peach lipstick that is unlike most of the lipsticks in the MAC permanent collection or limited edition collections that have come out. That being said, I don’t find the shade to be particularly special on me. The dupe I have isn’t very close but I decided to share this because the color differences are undetectable on the lips. It’s the closest dupe I’ve found from the drugstore and it’s good enough for me because drugstores don’t carry a wide selection of peach, coral, or sheer lipsticks. mac-dressmaker-dressmaker-lipstick-dupe-500x236-1 (L-R) MAC Dressmaker Dressmaker, Jordana Easy Shine in Mango Delight 1) Jordana Easy Shine in Mango Delight ($2) – Even though the color is extremely similar (practically identical on the lips), the finish, texture, feel, and pigmentation are completely different. The Easy Shines have a lightweight, thin lipstick formula with some slip (like the Maybelline Color Whispers or L’Oreal Carresse lipsticks) while the MAC lustre is more like a traditional, waxy lipstick. Mango Delight is also more sheer, glossier, and less pink. While some might not enjoy the balmy texture of the Easy Shines, I personally love it. This is by far the closest dupe I’ve found in my collection for Dressmaker Dressmaker. It’s only $2 so definitely give it a try if you’re interested! animalcrueltyfree-3 mac-dressmaker-dressmaker-jordana-mango-delight-500x175-1
