Hard Candy So Baked Bronzer in tiki- A Dupe for MAC Lightscapade? – Glam Radar

We are all well aware that on April 5th, M.A.C is re-promoting the beloved Mineralized Skin Finish in Lightscapade. Lightscapade is a very beautiful highlighting product that I had on my wish list for awhile, and was dead set on being there at the in-store release to purchase. However, I am really trying to keep my spending on makeup to a minimum, and Lightscapade will run you almost $30. I was watching a YouTube video and the woman was using a highlighting product from Hard Candy as her cheek highlight, and when she showed it up close I immediately was reminded of Lightscapade. hard-candy-so-baked-bronzer-tiki-1  Mac mineralize skinfinish Lightscapade:mac-mineralize-skinfinish-lighscaped The product looks very similar at first glance to Lightscapade, but you can tell it’s just a tad more on the golden side, which is something I actually prefer. Lightscapade is more on the white side, like a softer, less yellow, NARS Albatross. Hard Candy’s Tiki even has the subtle pink and purple veining that Lightscapade has, which made me excited to find out that I can save myself $20 of the over $100 wish list I have for upcoming MAC collections.  hard-candy-so-baked-bronzer-tiki-review-1 The packaging of Hard Candy products are much more bulky than MAC MSF’s, and I’m not a huge fan of the mirrored front (as you can see my camera reflected off the mirror and turned the packing black in the first picture!) However, I have thoroughly enjoyed diving into their range of products. As I said before, a lot of their products are reminiscent of other brands, i.e. this one being similar to Lightscapade and their boxed blushes being “replicas” of Benefit’s boxed powders. Their products can be found at Walmart, and usually everything ranged from $4-9, which will save you a great deal of money vs. the price tag of MAC and Benefit. hard-candy-so-baked-bronzer-tiki-swatch As you can see, the veining and the overall look of Tiki is very much like Lightscapade, however it is a bit more on the candlelit glow side of highlighters with its more softer gold tones. After looking at swatches of Lightscapade (you can find them on Temptalia.com) I actually think that this product is not an excellent dupe just because the tones are different, but I actually prefer Tiki.
