I sometimes like to buy lipstick colours that I know I wouldn’t normally go for. My ‘go to’ colours would be warm toned nudes and nude-y pinks. On the odd occasion I like to browse the makeup counters and have a good look through what they have to offer, and in most cases I end up picking a colour that is probably not the most ‘talked about’ or look the most appealing in the tube. The L’oreal Caresse lipstick in the colour tempting lilac, didn’t look anything special in the tube, nor was it an outstanding colour when swatched, but boy is it a beauty on the lips!
This is exactly why I don’t go by swatches when purchasing lipstick because they look completely different on the lips. Tempting lilac is the most beautiful nude colour with a slight pink/lilac undertone. As the colour wears out through the day, the lilac shows through a lot more than what it would look like when it’s first applied. The consistency is another big bonus to this lipstick. It’s so silky and smooth. It feels like a very moisturising lip balm, and I prefer it much more than the Revlon Lip Butters, which I’ve recently blogged about here. The Revlon lip butters honestly feel like a sticky lipstick consistency compared to this, and I know that I will be purchasing some more colours from this line.
I’ve been wearing this lipstick every single day for the pas two week, and received so many compliments from people I don’t know- It’s insane! I find that this lipstick can balance out any makeup look, and can add a lil somethin’ somethin’ to an everyday look. It’s a win – win situation guys!
Priced at £7.99 and available from most supermarkets and pharmacies, you really can’t go wrong!
If any of you guys have different colours from this line, please let me know because I will definitely be purchasing some more!
