L’Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash in Princess review:
After perusing the Boots aisles for the past few weeks with a minimal bank fund, I couldn’t wait to finally purchase some new beauty releases with my long awaited March pay check and first on my list had been the much-talked about L’Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash lip glosses. I’d heard through the grapevine, that these are an exact dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains and despite not owning any, I’d been wanting to see what all the fuss was about and was intrigued to see what these L’Oreal lip glosses had to offer.
First off I was a little disappointed with the shade selection available in Boots, as there were only about six different ones available. I opted for the shade Princess, which I thought would be a perfect day-time red/coral shade for the summertime (wishful thinking, I know…) and overall I’m impressed with the pigmentation and super glossy finish. The product applies nicely to the lips, first appearing extremely glossy but then drying to an opaque finish which sticks around for a couple of hours wear – I also can’t get enough of the super sweet, strawberry scent which quite literally smells good enough to eat!
L’Oreal Glam Shine Stain Splash in Princess on my lips.
I’m not one to gravitate towards L’Oreal when it comes to make-up brands, as the stand in my local Boots is a little bit overwhelming, with what seems like hundreds of different products stuffed into a tightly confined space – not my bag! However, I am really impressed with the Glam Shine Stain Splash lip glosses (I may even head back to purchase some more…) and for me, they’re the perfect middle ground for a lip gloss – not super sticky, easy to apply and still manages to stick around for a good few hours – or a good few cocktails, as I discovered last Friday night!
