LAURA MERCIER SMOOTH FOCUS PRESSED SETTING POWDER review (with shine control)

Hi girls , here is my review of LAURA MERCIER SMOOTH FOCUS PRESSED SETTING POWDER
(with shine control)
This is the first high-end setting powder I have ever taken the risk of investing in as I have never read or heard a great review of it. I have always had a love/hate relationship with make up powders of any kind and always find them very noticeable and hard to work with. This setting powder is a completely different story.LAURA MERCIER SMOOTH FOCUS PRESSED SETTING POWDER review
The powder is translucent and comes in a cute little compact (similar to many other LM products) with a mirror and thin square sponge. I am sure that using a powder brush would make this product even better to use but as I cannot afford the one I want right now I just use the sponge and it works really well. It is clear in the name that this product is marketed at oily skinned girls like me promising a matte finish and “shine control” and I would say this product completely fulfills what it promises.
For the first few hours after application on top of foundation this product leaves the skin looking smooth and matte (without clinging to dry patches) and my oily skin is nowhere to be seen. By the end of the day, the product is equally impressive. Obviously it would be asking a lot for the product to remain the same standard throughout the whole day BUT without touch ups I find that this product is still working and only leaves you with a healthy (not oily) glow by the end of the day.LAURA MERCIER SMOOTH FOCUS PRESSED SETTING POWDER review
I have never received more comments on how nice or smooth my skin looks than since I started using this. Also, if you are someone who goes to clubs a lot, this is great for making sure your skin isn’t shiny or matte in photos. I honestly cannot see myself buying another powder from now on (unless I my skin is a lot less oily) and I would recommend this product to any oily/combo skinned girl looking for a flawless, matte look. Priced at£24.50 but so worth it!
