Juliette Has A Gun Not A Perfume Eau de Parfum Review

Juliette Has A Gun Perfume

This time last week I’d never heard of the perfume company Juliette Has A Gun. I’ve been using the same perfumes for a while and was looking for a new perfume that was a bit different. I came across the company during one of my daily mooching exercises on ASOS. As soon as I saw the ‘Bullet Collection’ I was suckered in by the cool packaging and went off to investigate the brand a bit further.

It’s a bullet-shaped container that comes with 4 refills of concentrated perfume oil. A bullet container…HOW COOL IS THAT???? I haven’t been this excited since the first time I saw the Ellis Faas range. If you’re not a complete gimmicky packaging whore like me, then they also do regular bottles of perfume as well.

Now once I had gotten over the pretty packaging and started looking at prices I realised that this stuff isn’t at the budget end of the perfume spectrum. The range costs between £50 – £85 depending on which fragrance and size bottle you buy. I don’t know about you but if I’m not going to spend £50 on a perfume I haven’t smelt first hand. The range isn’t sold in any of my local department stores (drat)…but luckily ‘Juliette Has A Gun’ do a discovery kit containing four 2ml vials of each of their non-limited edition fragrances: ‘Lady Vengeance’, ‘Calamity J’, Miss Charming’ and ‘Citizen Queen’.
Here is the sample kit which arrived (coming all the way from Paris…with free P&P I might add) last Friday…

Each envelope contains a 2ml vial of perfume with a little card that describes the perfume.  The discovery kit cost just over £4, which may seem a lot for tester size samples, but if you buy a full sized bottle from their website within 3 months then this is deducted from your puchase.

I could attempt to descibe these four fabulous perfumes to you, but my language just isn’t creative enough – gorgeous flowing descriptions are, however, available on the Juliette Has A Gun website.

All in all this range of perfumes is one that is worth checking out – they will definately get you lots of compliments as well (I’ve had several already).  The only downside is deciding which one you want to invest in.  My personal favourites are ‘Miss Charming’ (Moroccan Rose and wild fruits) and ‘Lady Vengeance’ (Bulgarian Rose, Patchouli and Vanilla).  I am leaving major hints with my beloved at the moment so I’ll let you know which one I end up with! 🙂
