Hi girls, here is my Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm: Review and Photo
|Jack Black Lip Balm|
Here in Chicago we like to joke about that fact that we have two seasons: Winter and Construction. We’re finally starting to move into the latter, but the long, cold, windy Chicago winter has really done a number on my lips. This time of year we can get a year’s worth of weather inside of a week (and we recently did: 85 degrees and sunny on the 9th, then one day in the 50s, some in the 40s, and snow on the 16th). It’s been so bad lately that I’ve been avoiding lipstick altogether because it just accentuates the cracking and peeling. I’ve been on the hunt for a really good lip balm for months now, but nothing I’ve tried has significantly improved the condition of my lips. Until these bad boys.
There’s been a rumbling in the beauty blogosphere lately about Jack Black Intensive Therapy Lip Balm. After hearing several beauty bloggers rave about this stuff, I decided to give it a try. I bought mine at Sephora for $7.50 each, but if you really love them, you might consider the Lip Service Set, only available directly from Jack Black, where $30 will get you one of each flavor lip balm (5 balms, so $6 each).
In a nutshell, this stuff is magical. It’s actually a men’s product, so it gives the lips a very natural satin look, which I love. The result is healthy moisturized lips, not glossy lips. It healed my stubborn chapped lips in minutes. MINUTES! I bought both of the flavors available from Sephora: Sweet Mint & Shea Butter and Lemon & Chamomile. I was worried that I’d hate the lemon scent, but it’s actually my favorite. I keep the Sweet Mint & Shea Butter in my nightstand drawer and the Lemon & Chamomile in my purse. I know the price is a bit steep for a lip balm, but in my opinion they’re truly worth every penny.
