Inglot AMC Shine 06 & Pearl 417 Eyeshadows review, swatches

Inglot AMC Shine 06 & Inglot Pearl 417 Eyeshadows review, swatches :

I’m getting the impression that it would be cheaper for me to  bite the bullet and buy a 10-pan Inglot Freedom System palette instead of buying a 2-pan Freedom System palette every fortnight, but this is how I roll… nonsensically.

When I went into the Inglot Rundle Mall store last weekend and snagged this duo, I was originally looking for a metallic golden olive eyeshadow, and I found it in the form of Inglot Pearl 419. I just checked and it’s actually the same eyeshadow that Jen of My Funny Valentine is wearing in this FOTD, so perhaps she subconsciously influenced my purchase. When I asked the sales assistant what she would pair with Pearl 419, she immediately pointed out AMC Shine 06, a metallic gold tinged with grass green (she actually said something along the lines of, ‘It has to be this one, we’ve used it on models for shoots and everything’, which I thought was an odd sales pitch).

Also, I seem to have made up the shade AMC Shine 06. I can’t find it on the Inglot website and I can’t find any mention of it online. I triple-checked the bottom of the pan just in case I was mistaken, but it’s right there in black and white. Maybe it’s a special one just for me.

In any case, both eyeshadows are as fabulous quality as my other Inglot duo, although the eyeshadows have different finishes (in my other duo, both eyeshadows are Double Sparkle (matte with glitter)). To be honest, I wouldn’t have been able to tell that AMC Shine 06 and Pearl were different finishes from each other unless I looked at the labels; I would describe both eyeshadows as having pigmented, shimmery, metallic finishes.

For some reason, though, this duo has already become one of my palettes that I get out of its drawer to admire but rarely actually wear it. Although the sales assistant created a pretty look with both eyeshadows when I bought them, I think that I’m not quite sure what to do with them. Any suggestions for making them work for me?

Here are some arm swatches (I apologise for the low lighting, but this picture ended up being the one that most accurately reflected the colours):

I’ve heard on Twitter that Inglot are soon to open an online store. I’m excited but also concerned for my financial security. Would you consider checking Inglot out if you could buy online?
