Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare Review – Glam Radar

Hello pretties here is my Illamasqua Lipstick in Flare Review!

This is a little bit of a teaser post – have you heard about Illamasqua’s new lipstick, Flare?

It’s part of their new Toxic Nature collection and I’ve got a shocking swatch to share with you – I defy you not to like it because it is ah-may-zing!!!!

Flare is a super bright, pure yellow-based orange. The texture is similar to Box which I’ve reviewed previously – it’s semi-matte formula, which means it can dry your your lips if you aren’t careful. That’s easily fixed though with a nice lip balm underneath – I love Malin + Goetz lip moisturiser, available at Mecca, but whatever works for you – or even a gloss over top. I find it wears really well – I easily get 4-5 hours wear out of it without fading and by then I’ve usually had something to eat anyway. Here’s a swatch for you –

In terms of the colour, it’s similar to MAC Vegas Volt (see a look I did with it here) but Vegas Volt is more coral, where Illamsqua Flare isn’t coral at all and is more of a pure orange. Now, I’ve heard people (ie my sister) saying they can’t rock an orange lip, but if you just sit still til tomorrow, I’ll show you
