Illamasqua Atomic Lipstick review, swatches – Glam Radar

by Maria · October 23, 2014

Illamasqua Toxic Nature is the latest colour collection from the avant-garde UK brand and Atomic lipstick is one of the stand out products, in my humble opinion. What more could you ask of a brand that pushes the boundaries than a collection which manages to find the most clashing of colours, yet somehow makes them work so artistically together.

Atomic is a bold, hot pink lipstick shade with a matte-metallic finish. Illamasqua describes it as a fuchsia violet and it does seem to have bluish tones in some lights, although it looks a tad warmer in these pictures. The lipstick itself feels a little dry, but not drying…if that makes sense? It’s a hardy, long-wearing shade with plenty of pigment! In true Illamasqua form this shade is loud, proud and not for the shy.fotd-e28093-illamasqua-atomic-lipstickillamasqua-atomic-lipstickillamasqua-atomic-lipstick-swatchillamasqua-atomic-lipstick-review

I often get asked how to wear the rest of your make-up with such bold, bright lipstick shades. As I do believe a picture tells a 1,000 words I’ve paired this review with a FOTD featuring Atomic.illamasqua-lipstick-atomicillamasqua-atomic-lipstick-review-swatchesillamasqua-atomic-lipstick-swatcheseyeko-graffiti-liner-navyeyeko-graffiti-liner-in-navy
