How to Rock Bohemian Style Clothing – Glam Radar

Ways to Wear Bohemian Style Clothing

Bohemian Style Clothing is for the independent, romantic, and free-spirited and it is not a difficult fashion statement to don. Have you ever seen the way the Olsen Twins, Rachel Zoe, Kate Moss, Keira Knightley, Vanessa Hudgens, and other outgoing celebrities dress? Sometimes they look so laid back and at other times very glamorous in boho. How do they pull off such looks and what were they thinking?

All you need is a carefree attitude and the right wardrobe to make this style work. At Glamradar, we have some tips for bohemian chic dressing and you ought to be into boho because it’s totally in for 2013.

1. Layering. Mary Kate Olsen have been wearing layers over the past previous years and although reporters say she uses layers of clothing to hide her rumored anorexic body, she manages to stay fabulous and look gorgeous in whatever she wears. Arm party and multiple accessories are ways of layering. When you layer, mind the colors. Keep them each in a different shade or hue. Remember, you’re not doing it to keep warm. You’re doing it whenever you please.

2. Mixing and Mismatching. You must have seen hats, scarves, arm parties, huge dresses or cover-ups with different prints, fabrics and colors worn all by one single model in magazine ads and billboards. That is what we call bohemian chic. The trick is to mix it with whatever you can find but it must flatter your own body and face, no matter how the pieces might dull or contrast each other. That’s the beauty of boho- the chaos and contradiction.

3. Detailing. Do not ever forget the things that make a boho-inspired look contain. There are many, but they don’t have to be included in one outfit although you can try to look over-the-top if you want. Bohemian is all about being free anyway. Embellishment, lace, sheer, leather, prints, fringe, patches, old-looking ruffles, and anything hippie are the elements of boho fashion.

4. Accessorizing. You may overaccessorize and no one, not even the fashion police, would have anything to say against it. Antique jewelry, feather earrings, headwrap, headbands, arm party and anklets are the sort of blings a hippie girl would wear. Oversized bags are common, but for a little glam and surprise in the evening, try a minaudiere or an elegant clutch. Boots always do, but roman sandals and open-toe shoes are a certified go-go. Heels would be great, but choose fierce instead of glitzy.
