Why to use white eyeliner instead of the black one ? Simply because White eye liner brighten eyes, makes you appear instantly fresh and awake, and switches up your everyday look faster than hollywood actresses changes their haircuts .Swap your black kohl eyeliner for an on-trend white to perk up the eye area and fake a good nights sleep.
Recommendations? Mac’s Fascinating (£14) for high end of GOSH’s Kohl White Eyeliner (£4.49) for something a little cheaper.
It’s not only kohl eyeliner that is swapping shades this season, but the feline flick gets a makeover too. Inspired by this Victor and Rolf look?
Recreate it using Illamasqua’s Precision Ink in Scribe (was £18, now down to £10 in the sale!) – want another handy tip? It can be used as a nail art pen too! Simply draw your design onto the nail but remember to apply your topcoat of choice (for me,Seche Vite)
How to apply white eyeliner and Get the Bold Look :
Step 1. – It’s all about glowing skin. Use Laura Mercier’s Radiance Primer over freshly moisturised skin before evenly applying a natural finish foundation and concealer where/if needed
Step 2. – Concentrate on the eyes. Use a white kohl pencil on the lower waterline, inner corner, and to draw a feline flick. On the lid apply a white eyeshadow, and, using a pencil brush such as a Mac 219, apply over the liner to set it.
Step 3. – If you’re really going for the look, apply lashes to top and bottom lash lines, – I tend to skip this as I have quite long lashes and find applying false ones incredibly difficult, so if you’re in the same boat (or just lazy) apply lashings of black mascara.
Step 4. – Comb through and define brows to give a strong, straight look
Step 4. – Apply Mac’s Morange lipstick and blot, highlighting the cupids bow with a touch of the white eyeshadow you used on the lid to fake the look of a much bigger pout (another top tip!)
