Halloween Wicked Spider Cupcakes – Glam Radar

by Natalie · December 10, 2015

Last night was Halloween and my sister and I decided to dress up, bake some goodies, and give away candy to the kids in the neighborhood.  We had such an amazing night together and we had a few visitors come and stop by which you will see in the photos.  We baked some spider cupcakes that were absolutely adorable!  We got the spider cupcake stands at Crate and Barrel and then added Oreo halves and M&M’s for the eyeballs.  Hope you enjoy our photos of our Wizard of Oz Halloween night!

Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  Line your muffin pan with cupcake liners.  In a large bowl mix the cake mix, eggs, oil, and buttermilk.  Pour the batter 1/2 way into each cupcake liner and place it in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.  In a smaller bowl add the cream cheese, butter, and orange sugar dye and mix well.  Cover and place it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.  Pair up your Oreo halves for the eyes and then add one M&M in each Oreo.  Once the cupcakes are done cooking take them out of the oven and set them aside out of the muffin pan.  When they have cooled begin to ice them with the chilled icing and then place two Oreo eyeballs on each cupcake.  If you get the spider cupcake stands at Crate and Barrel you can place your cupcakes on top of them.
