Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream review – Glam Radar

I’m not going to lie, I hate skin care and think it is a chore to buy.  I hate that you can spend £30 on a product and it can make your skin worse than what it was. I also hate that no matter how good a cream may be, if your hormones/diet/lifestyle changes then it might not even help at all. However, I love finding something that really works for you and you always go back to it after trying something else.

I called out on Twitter about what moisturisers were good for dehydrated, oily and breakout prone skin, and a friend from uni recommended this to me.  She also mentioned that it was on offer in a supermarket, which made my little superscrimping ears prick up even more.garnier-moisture-match-mattifying-fresh-cream

First of all,Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh Cream  smells AMAZING and definitely lives up to it’s name of fresh cream.  It’s a very light scent and is lovely to apply in the morning to help you wake up.  It also has quite a light texture, however I am not sure whether it will be heavy duty enough for the winter months.  However, it is extremely moisturising and my dehydrated skin always feels less tight after I’ve used it.  The texture of the cream itself is rather strange as it isn’t entirely smooth.  According to Boots.com it contains ‘super-absorbent micro-spheres’ (no, I don’t have a clue either) that help the mattifying effect.  I don’t think it is extremely mattifying, but maybe my skin is just ridiculously oily.  The best thing about this cream though is that it hasn’t broken me out, something which is really rare with moisturisers. garnier-moisture-match-mattifying-fresh-cream-review

Overall, I am really impressed with this moisturiser and I have just stocked up on my third tube. One of the only downsides with this product is that there is a lot of wastage if you don’t cut open the tube when you think it’s empty. There will be at least another few weeks worth in there.

The RRP of Garnier Moisture Match Mattifying Fresh cream is £5.99, but I have always seen it on offer where it has at least a few pounds knocked off the price.  I just bought my third tube in Morrisons for £2.99.

Do you find skincare a chore?

Lots of love
Amy
