Freeman Dead Sea Minerals Facial Anti-Stress Mask Review – Glam Radar

I am obsessed with masks. I actually have this Friday ritual to indulge in a mask and a new polish job on my fingers and toes. It’s a way for me to relax and pamper myself while getting the feeling of a mini-spa without the hefty price tag of a real spa day!

The company prides itself on combining the “beauty of nature” and the “benefit of science.”

It was hard to choose which mask I wanted to try-out as there were several that seemed yummy to me. That’s the only way I can describe it – Facial Hydration Mask with Goji Berry / Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry / Facial Peel-Off Cucumber Mask / Facial Clay Mask with Avocado and Oatmeal – to name a few!

I chose the Facial Anti-Stress Mask with Dead Sea Minerals. Maybe not as yummy, but definitely seemed refreshing.

This anti-stress mud mask enhanced with Dead Sea Minerals instantly absorbs excess oil while clarifying and purging pores. Rinse away the mask to reveal smooth, radiant, healthy looking skin. Perfect for oily and t-zone skin types prone to breakouts.

The application was smooth. The scent was pretty neutral but if it had to describe it I would say it smelled like an air freshener with a clean linen or ocean scent. Overall, it was very pleasant. I especially loved the color.

They suggest letting it dry and then rinsing off with warm water – but the problem is they don’t tell you an amount of time to leave it on. Now, of course, they probably just assume you will leave it on for about the average mask time of 10 to 15 minutes…but I have a mask from Clinique that is a 5 minute beauty. So, I thought it was just a little weird not to state a time on the back of the package.

I left it on for about 15 minutes when I started to get a tight (but not painful at all) feeling. It came off pretty easily with warm water and a little gentle massaging. I am a big fan of masks that don’t require harsh rubbing or the use of a facial cleanser. I feel like when I have to use a face wash to remove the product it creates a product overload and could dry out my skin.

Afterwards, my face does feel fresh and clean. I feel like I had a very clean state and my pores were purged. Now do I know if they were purged really? No. – but I do feel like my face was instantly a bit more smoother! They recommend using twice a week. I will probably use it every other week (because I liek to use my Clinique mask as well in the mix).

I finished off with a spray of Caudalie Beauty Elixir and my Cetaphil Moisturizer. My face feels amazing this morning!
